I am having severe alt a.d.d. My shadow priest is practically 65. My shammy is 53 and leveling enhancement is just about as boring as leveling a discipline priest wanding. My main is a resto druid so I spend the business end of WoW as a tree but I am thinking about rolling a cow dr00d. There is always the option of my rogue but it's only like 30 and I am pretty damn bored with quests now.

I'll be getting s3 gloves today which will be putting me at 330 res. (question is do I want to grind honor for s1 pants for the added 35 res?).

Did a little 2v2 last nite as our third roommate was out late working. Got into a match where the hunter and mage nuked my roommates warrior but we managed to bring down the hunter. Then spent the next 6 minutes chasing the mage around shadow word paining him to death. That was not fun, but at least we won.

I'm about to ding 70 on my third char. (fury warrior) - the other two being a 70 priest and 70 lock.

The nearly self-suffecient economy that is JC/ench/tailoring/mining/BS/eng. is rather handy. Granted I took this process pretty slowly (2.5 yrs or so) as my priest is still my main and is well geared.

I've tossed around the idea of making a 4th char. (either ret. pally, rogue or feral drood) and going LW/alch. I kinda want a hybrid class but then again the whole concept of combo points and the rogue class interests me.

last night was our second night of attempts, got him to 76%. we're in the same boat

our problem was based more on people not knowing what to do in p4 as far as stabbing the MC'd people, killing eggs, and burning kael's barrier.

Moonkin, boomkin, oomkin (oom = out of mana), lolkin, pigeon.

You will want to level feral. Leveling balance is like eating glass because hardly any of the gear pre-Outland is going to give you any benefit to balance like the feral gear. Plus people always want tanks and not poorly scaled dps.

make s1 gear (and s2 gear next season) only be attainable if you achieve certain ranks in pvp. old pvp system ranks, based on hk's and honor gotten for the week. don't make it decay each week, just make the amount needed for each rank steadily increase each week. say, 50k honor for general week 1, 65k week 2, etc. so each week you have to get more honor to add to your total to unlock stuff, then make it purchasable with gold.

lol pvp epics were never hard to earn. It was about who could stay on the longest. Which was the dumbest shit ever.

Theres nothing wrong with letting casual players geat gear that 2 teirs worse than the hardcore or 4 teirs worst then the super hardcore.

Otherwise the game becomes boring for them and they quit and blizzard looses money. They only other thing they could do is insert other casual instances or new solo content.

Coming from a HWL (without cheating and having other people play my character and on the original system before multiple nerfs to make it easier) AND a Gladiator: My season 1 arena title means more to me than my HWL title.

Sure HWL was more time consuming, but the Arena took more skill whereas HWL really didnt take any. Id say the majority of other characters i know who hit HWL only played their character probably 50-75% of the time it was on for the grind and beyond that there were some TERRIBLE players I knew who hit HWL.

The worst players who got gladiator titles (without buying them, the worst players who actually played all the games and got the title) are still infinitely better than the worst players who hit HWL. Even if you are in a cheese makeup, you have to be more skilled than the other cheese makeups to make the cut.

with that being said. earning a good rating >>>>>> earning a good rank.

adding a rank requirement would do nothing, in fact it would be retarded. The only people it would weed out would be people who work real jobs who cant play all day. Regardless of whether they are the top 5v5 team in the world. If you work a real job, you couldnt get a HWL title, and thus would get screwed. And then having ranks would LET IN some of the terrible players that play 3000 games a season and still sit at 1450 rating. those would be the people who would be on enough to get a high title and meet requirements even tho they are terrible in pvp.

there are probably ~30-50 HWLs on my server

some of them are amazing pvpers; some are mediocre; some are awful

i would say personal arena rating is a much better indicator of skill (in addition to class/comp/gear/spec/blahblahblah) than the pre-BC ranking system
