Dont feel bad, we one shot all of them again this week along with shahraz and council, yet we haven't killed archimonde for 2 weeks now lol. Sure am glad I have everything I need outta Hyjal already.

WE have had major problems since they redid the fire on Archimonde, we never exploited him but they made the turning radius of the fire a lot faster so now we will have 2 or 3 circle back through all the melee and the tank at the same time and pretty much fucks em. Hell we have had fires spawn on the MT and beeline straight for the melee behind him, I'm not sure what we are doing wrong but when you get encircled by fires they are kinda difficult to avoid. I guess it didnt help we had a few shamans drop from our raiding group so we were left with 2 for tremor totems which made the fight a lot more annoying.

sounds like your melee is failing. Usually our melee is pro and never gets fires (shaman keeps them out with the tremor totem) and they know when to run out when the fire is too much.

Very rarely does a melee die or get the tank airbursted. Our biggest problem to begin with was dispells and people not telling healers who had the fire debuff. Once the healers knew who had the debuff from the fire it'd made all the attempts go much smoother because these people would run to the healers.

We've tried archimonde once...decided to hold off till next week on attempts and let people read up on it. Tomorrow night we'll do our first gorefiend attempts...first 3 bosses have been ridiculously easy as you guys know.

You should do teron before archimonde imo.

The night we killed teron for the first time we marched out and killed Archimonde as well.

Constructs aren't bad if he picks the good people first. Some nights i swear to god he grabs all the trials first. If he can grab me or another good player first its GG because they should be able to help out the other person before their ghost dissapears.

^^from what i can tell, whoever wants to take all of the adds stands behind a tree/candle stick that's in the room. the debuff that the adds give is taken away by standing back there, so one dps can safely kill all of the adds.

How did you wipe? Do u guys move him to traps? (my advice is to not to drag him to traps and have the MT use last stand for the first enrage and shield wall for the 2nd and last enrage). Everyone needs to step up to their game in phase 5, 2x as many parasites.

for you people on pvp servers, what are your thoughts on the isle of quel danas?

i think it's great, they should make more zones like this.

the amount of ganking and random skirmishes that happen just scream to me that this is how a pvp server should be every where you go hehe. you got the horde and alliance in the same relatively small amount of space tryin to control the resources there (gold, mobs, quests) which is bound to lead to conflict just like any other war.

non stealthers have to actually group up together for protection and to get their quests done because of the real danger of having to spend a minute walking back to your corpse, lol.

but seriously, there are still the groups of people arguing in general that this shouldnt be this way vs the people that say pvp on a pvp server, the horror!

^^melee mobs are your target. spell casters will tear you apart

judge/seal of wisdom on one target to keep your mana up so you can keep spamming consecration and holy shield

seal of light instead of wisdom if that makes you more comfortable, but a bubble + bandage should get you through most tricky situations

that's about it. if you're taking down ranged guys, use line of sight to get them over to you and bunch them up in melee range. now, as far as areas to grind/quest in, i have no clue. i would think its way faster to do quests, since they give like 5k exp for a completion.

aoe prot leveling is amazing. casters really arent that big of a deal. just dont pull more than 2 of them at a time. there's leveling guides for all the areas to grind on. i'd wait till you get to 35 is and go to dustwallow and grind the murlocs. you'll see the layouts when you find them on the wow pally forums.


make sure you make thorium shield spikes. it's worth it!


you dont need to spam holy shield etc or you'll have to sit and drink a lot. you can chain pull if you just light stuff. throw a lifestealing or firey enchant on your weapon for a little extra damage.

and questing is fine. you kill one mob just as fast as you kill 6 mobs so it's no big whoop.

more like, throw a +spelldamage on your weapon for more damage. dealing more damage to an individual target isn't that important in the AoE game, since it will die at about the same time as the rest of the group anyway. plus, fiery (and i would think lifestealing) is very expensive and hard to find nowadays due to the very limited supply of small radiant shards (?), since no one runs lowbie instances and disenchants the blue drops anymore...that or they're all greedy .

you can avoid using holyshield, but then that would cut out a lot of your damage, since you won't have the holy shield charges going off, the thorium shield spike wouldn't hit as much, and the incoming damage would be higher. i don't know about the lower levels, but at 70 holy shield does about twice as much damage as a tick of consecrate.

also, use blessing of sanctuary.

wisdom is more important to seal and/or judge than light, since with more mana you can just toss a holy light on yourself or bandage to regain health and you can put out more damage. your limit to AOE grinding will be your mana bar.

fiery is crazy cheap so I just did that for now. And yes I am 35 so it's perfect. Once I get up there I hear that with a bit o +d using rank 1 holy shield works very well, which is what I do with concentrate. And casters don't seem to be that bad. I love that I took out 3 mobs 4-5 levels above me to do a 41 quest at 33 heh. Definitely more fun than leveling ret, and I can tank instances when I get bored of the grind.

well, cleared mother on the first try after we changed to my method for choosing direction to run (based on the order names are listed by boss mod), which was subsequently the 3rd pull. decided to clear trash to council just to look at the fight. killed them the first attempt that lasted more than 1min (3rd actual pull). got to illidan and pulled him just because and got him to phase 2. I must say im disappointed with the zone. so far nothing has been harder than vashj and kael. this may be because we all have atleast 1 or 2 badge items which are t6 quality or better going in, but still. is sunwell more of the same?

Very few items are better then T6 quality actually

But you have to remember BT was designed to be cleared with T5+ gear on a majority of the raid with the tanks requiring some T6.

There are no real gear check's outside of sunwell.

You will, however, have your shit rocked in SWP.

So, I just did some checking and you actually CAN transfer toons from one account to the other. All that has to happen is your name has to be on both accounts. It doesn't say original owner either.
