my guild was a 5/6, 3/4 ssc/tk guild so we rushed into bt and hyjal, got the first 3 bosses in BT and 2 in hyjal and now half the guild disappeared.

you play the game, you feel like you have 0 time for anything else due to raids and you are doing it every instance you are bored. when you quit, you have SOOO MUCHH more time to do whatever you want, but then there is also a sign. amount of time where you have nothing to do. But the further you can get away from the game, the better off you will be.

I sold a lot of stuff in the AH. I'm making a lot of money by grinding turtles and naga and selling the tangy clam meat they drop (goes for about 5g for a stack of 10). Download the auctioneer add on - it'll tell you the average price for the stuff you pick up. If you can't use it, sell it.

i think thats the biggest thing i didnt do. anytime i would get something id usually just sell it to vendors thinking "if i got this other people can too" and wouldnt wanna sell it in the auction house for fear of losing my deposit, so we'll see how this works out

I enchanted my crap like 10 times, wasted the mats doing it, but I got tired of advertising "FREE ENCHANTS!!!!111" so I said fuck it.

and the only time people buy the low level stuff is if they need it for leveling the coinciding profession and didnt pick up the gathering profession. (ie: alchemist needing flowers but didnt pick up herbalism)

other than that, 2 gathering professions are the way to go to make money in the end.

Kalecgos down finally. Got T6 bracers. The haste sword also dropped but I let the OT take it. Being orc the brutalizer is actually slightly better, so I might take it just for fun next time. We don't have the dps for Brutallus but I ran down to see how hard it hits and I was dead in 3 hits, which happened in about 1.5 seconds. I don't know how we're going to heal through that AND do 27.7k dps.

^^Beware of learned helplessness. Try him at least one night a week so you can at least benchmark your raid's DPS. Have people start taking leatherworking for Drums of Battle. If you can get him to 20% with 30 seconds left, pop bloodlust and you can probably do it.

Derp derp derp, healers take up space that could be used by dps.

Your raid will need to do about 29000 DPS in order to beat the enrage. Properly optimized, people in your raid should be doing between 1900 and 2100 each. You'll have 2 tanks, but their damage is minimal. That leaves room for 8 healers.

You'll want a shadow priest or two... they do about 1500 normally, but are pretty necessary to reach 2000 dps with caster classes.
