Quote : | "In fact, heading into his most recent game on Tuesday night, Warren and Curry were the only two players in the NBA shooting 45%+ from three, 49%+ from the field and 90%+ from the free throw line.
Warren has started the past 4 games, and in that stretch, he is averaging 25.5 points and 5.5 rebounds, while shooting 56% from the field, 46% from three, and 100% from the charity stripe.
On the year, Warren is averaging 17.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game (13 games), shooting 50.6% from the field, 46% from three and 92.1% from the stripe.
Tony Buckets put in some serious work in the offseason. For perspective, he shot 22% from three last year, and 75.7% from the free throw line." |

lol i was just catching up on Zach Lowe's league pass ratings and saw this:
Quote : | "You have to admire the year-by-year consistency of T.J. Warren's assists-per-36-minutes: 1.5, 1.5, 1.4, 1.3. It is hard to have the ball so much, and shoot so often, while recording so few assists." |

We have had a lot of great players over the years. But for every great player, there is also that WTF type like Fells, Costner and Abu. 11/6/2019 7:13:57 PM |
justinh524 Sprots Talk Mod 27841 Posts user info edit post |
Costner doesn't really fit with the other 2. He was actually pretty good, other than being a headcase and apparently making his teammates hate him. Fells and Abu were both guys who were great athletes who never fulfilled their potential (although Fells definitely improved as a basketball player during his time here. Abu, not so much.) 11/6/2019 10:59:26 PM |

some fun stuff from when TJ went pro
Quote : | "no see, that's why you stay. you don't jump as soon as you think you can get drafted for one guaranteed contract before you get bounced out of the league b/c you're a small forward that can't shoot from outside and can't defend even college small forwards." |
Quote : | "Every scout will say that same thing which is exactly why he needed another summer to work on the shot then come back and shoot well from 3 next season then be a lottery pick. I mean even if he didn't have the shot, he'd still be the top scorer in next years draft without parker and mcbuckets. " |
Quote : | "good luck; bad decision." |
Quote : | "i love the kid, but he's not ready for the league." |
Quote : | "he's gone, i get it. but this was a decision made out of impatience." |
simonn was a real hater (i think there's one e man quote in there too) but to be fair simonn did own up to being wrong about TJW's draft stock
but this one remains my favorite

This thread has got some hidden gems.
Quote : | ""and before you say "Jules had a better supporting cast" let's remember the Sweet16 roster was Bennerman-Atsur-Brackman-Evtimov. None of them would start for any ACC team in 2014"" |
And yet here we are in 2019, and any one of those guys would still be startin on this or multiple other ACC teams.
We miss you Atsur
