i decided to jump in and get this game tonight (haven't played since the beta way back when). got it at target, come back and installed, went to register an account, and my key is in use.

call blizzard and they tell me (of course) that i have to return to target. hopefully that won't be a problem.

maybe it's an omen.

im trying to decide on what new char to level up before the expansion and i was looking for some input. i'm debating between a mage and a hunter, or possibly a shaman. leaning towards mage. i want something that will be fun to play with and will also be really good at making gold and stuff at high levels. based on the changes coming with the expansion and everything, any suggestions for which class i should pick?

i was mainly asking about which between those classes specifically. i have a 70 warrior and a 52 lock on another server, but have made a few chars with a friend on a new server and have a 57 paladin there and am deciding on another class to make on that server. i am really low on gold on this server since we started from scratch so that's why i added the part about being good for making gold.

if your guild hasn't taken them down yet, the chances are that your dps will be pretty vital to taking RoS down. put a shaman in your group and have him drop GoA (or twist). bees and imp faerie should be up, scorpid sting, and every other debuff that reduces the mob's chance to hit. phase one isn't a race at all. rolling hots and blessing of light isn't a bad idea either. if you're the only one having a problem, put on pvp gear (should be gemmed for pure AP or agi anyway) and spec like this: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0eboZ0gA00VzxzZEr0obhMo it's actually a very good pve spec if your raid is physical dps heavy

does not compute. Im assuming you have 4 diff teams across 2 chars? or am i missing a ss that is blocked at work?

I mean if you are playing equal competition thats like 2 maybe 3 games lost and so I dont see the getting farmed down aspect. If you want to talk about farming down, the only season I had a real team (s1) we started our 3v3 team after the season was already fairly established and worked up to like 2100s fairly quickly. One night we were playing super late at night and were only pulling the same 3 teams over and over. One was the first place team from the last update who was in the 2300s last I had seen (there werent a lot of teams on at like 3-6 am on a weeknight heh). We pulled them 9 times that night and went 7-2 against them. and 2 of our losses were in the first 5 games (started out 3-0, lost 2, then won the rest) so they didnt win that much from us. I dont know exactly how much we dropped them exactly that night but it had to be like 125pts in total at least.

no ... the team I just played on got to all 5 of those ratings. ... ie within 1 win of shoulders and choked lol



go up to 2195 then choked then 2188 and choked 2198 choked. etc took us 5 games to get our second team over:x we have the 3rd and 8th ranked team in our bg


and this season wehre games over 2100 are 4-5 pt games with 15 minute ques .... dropping 50 rating is getting farmed.

5's changed quite a bit since you played seriously

it's pretty impossible to afk bot now. everyone i know that's tried has gotten 3 day bans and all their gear and honor points stripped. my friend botted full s2 and gemed/enchanted it and they whiped all of it. bout 400g down the drain lol.

I feel like I fucking missed the boat on Warhammer. I tried the beta and it felt like an ugly unpolished piece of shit. The texture resolution for the ground had to be like 320x480 and everything just felt really off.

I'm really suprised to see such good review, maybe I need to give the retail client another chance, I really wanted to like that game......

^^ I wouldn't go into it expecting the game to be as refined as WoW but it is leaps and bounds better than WoW was at this point of its release. I have been very impressed with how fun this game has become. There is always something productive to do where as in WoW I am relegated to raiding, doing dailies for the 17193917216th time or leveling an 8th alt. No thanks.
