i was laughing my ass off ad ed schrader. it was entertaining, but i'd have preferred to see lonnie walker in that spot w/another song or two. future islands was great (as expected).

looking forward to the june 1st future islands/titus andronicus/okkervil river show at the cradle.

I've seen Ed Schrader at least a half dozen times (plus copies of the Ed Schrader Show, the variety talk show he does in Baltimore), but the bass really adds to the momentum of the songs.

Disappointed he didn't play "Beautiful Transvestite in the Rain," though.

I love this band, but I haven't even been to a show (Art Lord doesn't count...or does it?), so I feel like I'm missing out big time. I'm going to go to the show in June for sure.

when they played at kings time before last, i was really drunk and playing tambourine and sam yelled at me (rightfully)

He's got a great gut-wrenching sound so I think it would be weird if he wasn't so animated on stage. He's definately intense but he's crazy friendly if you ever get a minute to talk to him.

I picked up an Ed S's blah blah cd after the kings show and the FI bassist said they were shooting for october/november for the next cd.

His theatrics are make those shows wild. The last time he was at Kings I think he leaned over, and half his shirt was unbuttoned by the crowd in like 5 seconds and he came right back up.

they're getting so famous that i can't get tickets anymore. i remember 2 years ago seeing them with 15 other people at the cave in chapel hill and half of the crowd had no idea. missed them open for titus andronicus and okkervil river. also missed their last 2 king's shows. im a sad guy.
