I've learned that Dammit100 must have been watching a totally different episode than the rest of us

Or he is a closet Bieber fan

I thought the episode was pretty darn solid, and while Bieber wasn't great by any means, the cast was probably as solid as I've seen all season. Californians always makes me laugh more than it should; the security sketch was funny, largely b/c of Sudeikis being himself; The Super Bowl open did a good job of not being a terrible open; Kenan's "Black guy in every ad" is a fun character; and Taran Killam did a wonderful job channeling Matt Foley with a twist. The only lowlights for me were the awful "2 best friends" bit on Update, and Jay Pharoah's principal sketch that keeps getting showtime for some reason. I didn't watch Bieber's musical performances b/c I didn't want that to ruin what was one of the better SNL's of the season.

Not sure who this "rest of us" refers to, as there isn't an overwhelming majority of the 5 people commenting on this episode here.

I'd put $10 on one of the apostles being the guy who imitated Qui-Gon Jinn in the "Triumph Visits the Line for Episode II" bit.

NBC has nothing for the 10 PM Saturday slot, so they've been repeating the previous week's episode in truncated form at 10 PM, then showing the regular episode at 11:30.

It just happens that this week is a repeat anyway, so last week's Waltz episode was at 10, and the Short repeat is in the normal "repeat week" slot.

tempted to not even watch

BUT

Kevin Hart was invited to that surprise Rock/Chappelle/Buress set at the Comedy Cellar earlier this week, so that kind of counts as a blessing

Miserable from start to finish. The two or three good moments aren't even worth mentioning.

The musical guest was terrible. At the very least they need a new sound engineer. I was seriously wondering whether they'd get any applause at the end of their first song.

Just a bad episode overall.

Maine Justice had me rolling for some reason. Is that a reoccurring skit or was it just supposed to be silly to have Louisiana culture injected into Maine and nothing more? Sudeikas and Timberlakes accents and that inflatable gator with the gavel i found very entertaining..

Instant classic episode . Fantastic cameos.

^ it was first in the Jamie Foxx episode and the whole punchline was they were a bunch of transplants after Katrina. Why they brought it back, no idea. Unless JT wanted a chance to play the white version of Jessup.

The Maine Justice one was horrible.

And while JT was talented, I didn't bust my nut over this episode like everyone else did. Was it better than most of the shit they come out with these days?? Definitely...but the bar is low.

I think everyone is overreacting because it was Timberlake...and I'm a fan of his.

Agreed. That was in the last 30 minutes right?

Incorrect. It's because of the 5 year club skit. And the appearance of the Dick in a Box dudes (and maybe 2 Wild and Crazy Guys). Also Stefon (for me at least).
