It's been a while since I've seen the movie, I forget all the details, but I remember wondering whether the First Order was somehow able to hack into the tracker that Leia gave Rey so Rey could find her way back to Resistance.

But if that was the case Finn would have been stuck on the ship peering out the window with nothing to do. Enter the whole Casino side plot.

It's one thing to move forward without a complete backstory and it's another thing entirely to have no character development whatsoever.

Rose was one of the best characters in any movie, not just Star Wars movies.
