Man, they really fucked with priests in this new patch. Our mana efficiency is in the tank but we are raid healing throughput monsters now. The renew is exactly what I wanted, as far as making that spell something I'd regularly use. It used to scale like absolute dogshit, but now it rapes rejuventation on 1v1 throughput and gives us a chance to crit a heal up front.

Healing is going to be a whole new animal in Ulduar though. No more spamming heals and just topping everyone off all the time. Healers are actually going to have to be careful not to stomp on other people's HOTs and keep overheals to a minimum. Probably going to have to assign groups to raid healers instead of just one big free for all game of whack a mole. At least until we get enough gear to where mana becomes trivial again. It's going to be interesting to see how people adapt.

^^ Just messing with you man. I play a fraction of the time that I used too but I don't doubt the total number is high. It's a lot harder to find the time than when I was in school, which I assume is the same with a lot of the people here. Worth it though, it's been entertaining playing with friends. I still love the game so I'll keep paying. Staying away from a bar for a night pays for a month or two anyways.

^^^ Trinkets will be a bitch to get before Ulduar, everyone needs the top slot ones =/ I think I'm doing well with only one 10-man and 25-man Naxx along with a handful of heroics under my belt.

I'll hit 70 tonight & I think I've decided to stockpile as much gold as possible so I can buy the riding skill & the Cold Weather Flying skill at the same time. Not looking forward to saving up 5000g for the Epic Flying Mount skill, but hopefully I'll find a way to get a Proto-Drake by that time.

If you're doing PvE servers, then Medium pop should be good.
If you're doing PvP servers, look for High pop.

You won't find too many ppl looking for grps for leveling because most ppl are level 80 or are working on an alt and have gone thru this grind so many times, they have friends to help.

Just keep grinding quests until 60s or 70s (it will be faster than u think) and then you can find instance groups and fly through levels.

Join a guild, no matter how crappy it might be... You can usually get some help from them or at least find ppl your level. If you are horde, just say LF Guild in Barrens chat and it'll be done in a matter of seconds.

Does Recount overall caclulate crits when rendering the dps figure?

As far as I know, it basically just takes the damage you do and divides it over your active time (or your in-combat time, one of those).

...So if by some strange chance you get more crits in one fight than another, your dps would be just slightly higher. So, it doesn't so much "calculate" them as just add them to the rest of your damage like it would anything else.

I don't think it even counts any difference between critical damage and normal damage, unless it's had a big update since I last played. It just gathers damage done to the enemy.

So, yeah, total damage / active seconds.

No DK-only quests that I can remember, but when they get to Northrend they basically get 3 different plate sets specifically tailored to them and warriors. Quest green sets, but still better that most of the outland gear unless you were taking your DK on heroic/raid runs.

They're just 70. Pallies pre-wrath could solo them. Probably some others too, but pally is the only one i'd seen first-hand. My lock could have managed it if mechanicals weren't completely immune to life-drain (and fear).

If someone couldn't solo them, a two-man group could take it down easy... three-man if they were badly geared. And now that 80 is the level cap, I'd imagine everyone should be able to.

I skimmed it... seems like the data wouldn't be that relevant to reality though, given the level of anonymity present in an MMO as opposed to talking to another person's face. Also, this made me laugh... and feel pity... all at the same time:

I took one down at 80 as a holy pally with no problem. I also had one attack my 73 warlock unexpectedly and soloed it with felguard tanking. They're not that tough any more.

So we do our 1st undying run tonight, clear all the way thru KTZ


we're at 40 percent, the add is already out, void zone on our tank, he moves and KTZ moves w/ him.

Then all of the sudden evade evade evade

Vent explodes "wtf and a bunch of other expletives"

KTZ resets, and we kill him for our first undying titles. That was as much fun as my first Archimonde kill, which is saying alot. 3 drakes on Sunday, should get it this time.

My guild got Immortal 2 nights ago. Someone actually DC'd on Saphiron, but by some crazy stroke of luck, someone else got iceblocked right in front of them and the DC'd person didn't die to deep breath. They came back online right after that and we managed to finish it off. Pretty rewarding feeling actually. Only need the 6 minute Malygos achievement and we all get our Black Proto Drakes.
