I think what Trump is saying is that we need to ban EV boats because the batteries will electrocute you if the boat were to sink. He also says that he would rather get electrocuted than have a shark mistake his leg for something else.
Why didn't he ask his MIT friend about just banning EV boats in the ocean instead of all bodies of water? There are a lot less sharks in lakes and ponds.
He missed the boat during his MIT friends' conversation.

I can understand being disappointed with the Democrats. I certainly am in many ways.

But Trump and the GOP are the most un-American phenomenon I have ever witnessed. I could understand taking a chance on Trump in 2016, but I am absolutely perplexed that anybody could see them as a force for good in 2024.

look, i hear ya. there are lots of valid concerns, particularly if you take most of your info from cable pundits and even "news" after all the lies. also valid concerns for legit politics wonks, as modt of us (even on the same "side" vary wildly in how we think what policy should be enacted and how we do that)

i am glad though to see people actually feeling ok to say what they think without just loads of bullshit.

no matter who we are considering, we 100% need to be able to see past the initial word trump or kamala and be able to be fucking grownups and speak together and try to find.happy mediums on stuff. cause clearly half the people arent getting their choice.

This always gets me. First of all, I don't get any of my news from "pundits", I try to seek out mulitiple "reliable" news sources, and feel like I"m pretty good at spotting bias and propaganda.

Where do you get your info? Because it seems like the vast-majority of trump supporters get their info from random hacks and grifters on social media and blatantly biased "news" outlets like Fox and NewsMax. While most "mainstream media" has some issues, they seem miles ahead of the places lots of the "right" get their "info".

I understand someone might not be excited to vote for Harris, but if an educated person votes for Trump, I really cannot rationalize it. jackleg seems generally apathetic about almost everything, so I'm curious what is the motivation to vote for Trump? In 2016, I feel like many honestly believed that Trump was an outsider to politics and would change the game for the better. Or thought Trump was joking for entertainment when he would say off the wall shit. Or thought that the system would keep Trump from exploring his worst tendencies. Also, Hillary Clinton had a lot of baggage ( which anyone with a career in politics would have). Baggage that Trump didn't have, mostly because he was able to pay to have negative stories about him suppressed
