botting kind of blows nuts now that mmoglider has ceased development. There were two alternatives that I came across, but I don't remember them -- plus it's a lot easier and safer these days to instance level with a RAF account.

H ToC is finally a decently challenging instance. My guild got the Faction Champs down last night. Got Twin Valks tonight.... I heard they're pretty tough, but we'll see tonight I reckon.

We jumped from 6th on the server to 2nd because we're actually taking the runs serious. Pretty pro guild IMO.

Yeah 25 man H ToC is finally a challenge, after 2 shotting every boss in normal mode we are getting owned in heroic. We gotta get our DPS up some we generall kill Gormock about the time the worms come out but still an add or two up and several dead. Doesnt help we are having the same problem many guilds are having with multiple disconnects immediately when that fight starts. Oh well good news is blizzard once again went easy mode and regular gear isnt that far behind heroic gear. Bad news is I made the wrong choice on saving my DKP for heroic gear because after wiping all night I imagine next week the bids on regular gear will become much higher as I suspect everyone else was thinking the same thing haha. Either that or blizzard will go ahead and nerf it since Pug's wont be able to clear it.

We spent 24 attempts on heroic beasts before we got it.... we only kill snowbolds if they are on healers, otherwise we kill the boss and then we can get 1 down before the worms come out and then have 2 dps kill them while we kill the worms... we kill acidmaw first, then dreadmaw (his enrage is pussy). last guy is fun... you don't have the run boost so you get to yell at ppl for failing. word on the street is that you can run STRAIGHT AT HIM and not take damage; that you just have to be at the wall to take damage... we didn't try it.

Dreadscale enrage is NOT pussy. His melee hits for over 40k after Acidmaw is dead. The only reason it doesn't kill more tanks is that 5 of your 6 healers can be spamming that tank since 1 raid healer can easily keep up people with burning bile as long as your raid is spread out (and the melee doesn't get hit).

We had a less than intelligent mage try running straight at him the other night and he got instantly merc'd. I burned shield wall and last stand to survive but the lost dps time meant we hit the enrage right as he did a massive crash which killed all but 5 of us (a hunter, 3 paladins and myself) with only 300khp. He picked me for the charge which I easily dodged because I'm not drooling at the keyboard and we finished him off with only 2 dps alive.

btw, the mage that got killed wasn't even the target Icehowl had picked he was just standing on top of the person who did get picked. Only the mage died.


We're treating H ToC as a completely separate instance as far as DKP is concerned. Putting them together is pretty retarded. It encourages not getting very good upgrades from normal to save for heroic drops. As long as the hard mode has a completely separate lockout from normal I think they should be treated as different instances.

Twin Valks is a pretty rough fight. I hope you have very good healers because you are going to need it. The amount of damage going around is pretty ridiculous. We've only put about 6 attempts into them. Have 30 left so I hope we get them on Monday.

Slightly pissed, but still happy-have a save right now for 10M H ToC on Anub, with 49 attempts remaining-already downed him last week, but was really going for the damned chest this week. maybe we'll get a mount next week. did an ill advised 2 healer attempt on Lord J, which ended badly when hunters thought the fire was warm.

Wowwiki says its pretty much the same fight. The only big encounter difference is that she has a Guardian Spawn sometimes in P2 that should be killed fast.

thinking about quitting again. The guild I've been in has had most of their leadership quit and the new raid leadership doesn't understand shit. As a holy priest I was kicked out a raid for casting PoH, CoH and PoM too much.

Anyone need a decent holy priest? Average gear ilvl ~220.
