this game has got loleasy... we downed H Anub last week and this week we got Tribute to Insanity.... :-/

Since we blasted thru it so fast this week, I convinced 22 ppl to go back to Ulduar and we got our Ironbounds in 2 nights (some people who didn't even have 4 tower or XT)... We did em all. Then proceeded to 1-shot Algalon.

It's a joke how much you can overgear everything now.

Wrath of the Lich King has been out for a year. Luckily for them a vast majority of their userbase aren't 25 man raiders that overgear Ulduar. Luckily for you they release new content.

But I know what you mean, I totally breezed through Stratholme the other day.

After months of Aion and seeing where it's going I don't ever see how I could go back to WoW unless there was a way to completely overhaul their game engine/design to make it looks like something that actually belongs in modern gaming. I do seriously miss my dr00d though especially with the faction transfer now available.

I renewed a month ago and faction changed my rogue. I probably played a total of 15 hours and then cancelled my subscription. The game just lost it's appeal. I don't know if that's happening to a lot of "old" players. There were definitely fun times, and I'd be willing to try the expansion, but WotLK is just...meh.

i stopped raiding on my priest for about 5 weeks. Went back last night and raided and still topped meters.

You shouldn't be able to quit a game for 2 months, come back and still be good. It has definitely gone the way of casual.

5 weeks is closer to a month than 2.

With expansions and even content patches coming out on a much longer timescale, 5 weeks is not a long time.

level an alt, achieve whore, title whore, mount whore or pet whore (or my personal favorite right now, level alts while hunting down titles/pets on my main). I plan to have at lest 6 80s by cata, (leaving room for a holy-cow and 3 bank/ah mules)

Yeah, after getting that nonsense on one character, I thought, "what has my life become?" so I'm just going to bitch about the lack of new, interesting ways to waste my time instead of grinding achievement points. No more time sink stuff for me, because it's just not fun.

Are you insinuating that Albino Drake, Stinker, and Ambassador title are time sinks in this game? One takes about 2 hours of running around from city to city, one takes 5 minutes every day to check the AH, and one takes 30 minutes a day for 2 weeks to achieve.

It was probably way cheaper than I could have gotten on patch day, but I was lucky enough to win a Battered Hilt from the new heroic and sold it for 10.5k haha...apparently those things drop like candy. Go go Quel'Delar for some rich fool.

I wouldnt say that its non noob its just luck of the draw.... I got in groups where we were all putting out 5k dps and then in groups where people were struggling to break 2k. Ive had tanks who could hold aggro no problem and tanks who didnt understand the concept of aoe tanking. We found what I am assuming is a bug last night though with it. We did our 3 ICC 5 man heroics and then queued for the random dungeon and got Forge of Souls.... let us in even though we were saved and we proceeded to do it again. We then zoned into PoS it put us in our old instance and the rest of the group in a clear one... we simply teleported out then back in and poof new instance with everyone else so we were able to clear all 3 heroics twice last night.

Thats not a bug. If you use 'random' it doesnt matter if you've already done a heroic.

you can, its random though. A guildmate of mine pulled OK 3 times yesterday.

And no i suggested either doing the time sinks or leveling an alt, not doing it on all the characters.

And lastly, sometimes you can get mega-tards for pugs. So far i've been saddled with a rogue that was doing 850 dps, a warrior doing 950 dps, and a tank with 18k unbuffed hp (i made him dps and i tanked that one)

The LFG tool must hate me. It has managed to locate the very worst players in all of wow, just so I can experience playing with them. I thought pugging was bad before.

Yeah nothing like the feeling of linking the dps chart at the end of a run and seeing that you are 60+ % for overall dmg... I love the feeling of knowing that if I am ever bored all I have to do is hop on my warrior and queue as a tank and its an immediate run and I dont have to wait around on those tanks who take 3 minutes to mark and do 3 ready checks before every single pull.

Has anyone else noticed that the video buffer doesn't seem to be initialized properly when world of warcraft starts? I'm on the mac version and whenever I start WoW, it shows me a corrupted image of the last frame that it displayed when I previously exited the game.

I did WoW on a Mac. It was better than WoW on a PC because it had built in screen capture tools that for some reason are not available on the PC.
