Get a group of up to 5 (trust me, it'll be boring by yourself)
Get the Thanksgiving food buff that gives 10% extra rep
Use mole machine to go to BRD
Run past the boss that you killed during the invasion event (fire guy) to get to Doom'rel
Doom'rel is the guy that you have to kill 6 servants guarding the tombs, then him
Kill the 6 servants, then run behind the tomb of the 6th and the boss will not aggro you
Wait 15-30'ish seconds and he will despawn
Rinse. Repeat.

All bosses give you 66 rep and elites in pre-BC instances only give 3/4 so farming bosses is the way to go.

This method gives you 788 rep in about 2-2.5 minutes. Can't beat it

We rotated 2 runs each so you can do your two runs and then go afk for like 10 minutes.

OH.. ALMOST FORGOT! Make sure you buy the Bilgewater faction tabard... derp. AND PUT IT ON!

I have to say so far its an entirely new game in the 1-60 section.

Much more streamlined and clear. The story makes sense as you complete areas.

The ending of the Booty Bay line was pretty cool and I really like what they've done with ZG so far.

Yes, the phasing battles in Splintertree Post and the transition to the battle in Stonetalon were awesome.

And the new boss fights in Deadmines and Shadowfang were cool too.

40 to 60 is so much more streamlined now with all the lvl 60 dungeons scaled down for those levels.

as a concept i kinda make since (although some smarter scoring then flat ilvl would be better). The problem is the fixation issue on minimum scores needing to be WAAAAY higher then they should because, as always, ppl would rather out gear a boss than out think one.

On a side note one of my favorite parts of GS was seeing the gear efficacy scores after the raid for dps (dps/gs) and constantly wrecking people because i actually understood how to alter my rotation for procs/situational buffs/etc

^now I do like that idea cain (re: gs/dps). I understand there's *some* use to the score (or a rating system in general), but everything I have seen relating to the scores and the addon itself carries such a snide and elitist tone it's sickening. Like you said, people would rather ignorantly carry dead weight with ilvl 264 gear than someone in 200-230 who actually knows how to play their class. It's only used by pugs right? I couldn't imagine a guild raid leader telling you to fuck off because your gearscore is five points less than TankeyRogue's.

It seems like before I left there was some kind of system in place for determining noob status. Maybe it was a part of a superinspect addon? I don't remember. I'm basically just ranting because when I came back to LK everything was fine, but now I'm completely fucking lost and I feel like that weird 40 year old dude in CH101.

I could not agree more with this statement. I started a Dwarf Shammy, quested through the Dwarf starting area, the Loch and some of the Wetlands, and everything has changed for the better imo. The quests are concise and make sense, the progression through the zones feels solid and makes sense, the mobs feel a little weak out of the gate but scale up nicely.

It's pretty much an entirely new experience leveling a character right now, and I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would. I'm actually anxious to start another new character with a different race to see if the changes are like with other races.

Anyone having FPS issues? Before I quit, I was getting about 100 FPS at 1680x with moderate settings. The only thing that changed is my GA-965P died and I have to use an MSI-7236 945p (which sucks). It looks like a ton of people are having weird issues and I've done everything a canned response would tell me.

C2D E6400 @ 2.24GHz
4 GB DDR800 (3.12 Usable due to chipset limitations )
8800 GTS 640MB (600MHz / 1030MHz)
100Mb/s from my WD500GB HDD C:\
Pagefile on my Samsung 2TB M:\
WOW on my WD640GB E:\

All Low settings 1024x768 and I still can't break 60 FPS. DX11 is slightly better inside, but 30FPS outside. OpenGL looks like shit but is the closest I come to old framerates. Still nowhere near what I should be getting, imo.

pre-patch it was pretty bad when running at ultimate. Raiding really kills it, marrowgar would be bring me to a halt. Brought it down to good.

since the patch it has been much better in the outside world. haven't raided much since 4.0.1. I'm also now running at max resolution.

make sure you have vertical sync off.

It looks like DX11 mode is keeping me at around 60FPS in IF 1680 with "Good" settings. Also it looks like Full Screen is fine to run now since alt-tab is so much quicker using this engine. I always loved having my view distance set to max, but that may be a thing of the past now. Seems to be a major fps killer.

my 24" will be here in an hour or two and I'm anxious to see how 1980* will run.

anyway, if you're having issue make sure to test with -nosound -d3d11 options at the end of your wow.exe shortcut. adding this to config.wtf should work too, but supposedly if you're hardware/OS supports it the game should use that engine by default. *Shrug*.

I'm eve3n having some weird fps issues... my computer should eat wow alive but i can't run it on ultra without dipping into the 40's and 30's on occasion

i5 oc'd to 3.8

8gb ddr3 2x5770's in xfire on win 7


tech support told me i should turn off crossfire and only run 1vid card :x tht was their advice

I finally "fixed" my issues. The memory catalogue/scan/lib in LUIv3's Infotext module was causing the stutter. FPS issues resolved themselves after going from 1680 -> 1920 and using DX11 on "Good" settings. It looks like I can stay above 30 now.

I still should be getting over 100 FPS if I disable addons, reduce all graphics to Low and bump the res to 800x600 but that is not the case.

It can be any quest that rewards XP at 80, daily or not. I read that the profession quests won't work and the raid weekly definitely doesn't work. There are plenty of dailies in Icecrown to get 25 as long as you are a champion at the Argent Tournament and did most of the quests in Icecrown already. 9-10 at Argent Tournament, 11 at Orgrim's Hammer, 3 at the Shadowvault.
