If anyone has an itch to make a new aliance toon i just made a priest on Azjoul-Nerub (sp?) named Arise.

Any priests here? Whats the best way to go for a grinding build? Shadow?

if you're trying to just grind levels quickly, shadow spec is the way to go, yeah.

Yeah go pure Shadow tree until level 40 so you can get Shadowform. Don't touch disc until after level 40. Expect to have MASSIVE downtime trying to level a priest before you get shadowform so make a friend with a mage so you can get free water.

Level 10-40 Talent Tree
Level 10-14 = Spirit Tap 1-5
Level 15-16 = Improved Shadow Wordain 1-2
Level 17-19 = Shadow Focus 1-3
Level 20 = Mind Flay
Level 21-22 = Shadow Focus 4-5
Level 23-24 = Improved Psychic Scream 1-2
Level 25-27 = Shadow Reach 1-3
Level 28-29 = Improved Fade 1-2
Level 30 = Vampiric Embrace
Level 31 = Silence
Level 32-36 = Shadow Weaving 1-5
Level 37-39 = Darkness 1-3
Level 40 = Shadowform

That is the best build imo to use for a grinding priest.

Im going to start an alt today to start maximizing rest XP for my warrior in order to hit 40 faster. its gonna be an Undead Rogue. I figure ill play my rogue until i get near a full level of rest XP for my warrior. basically i want to play my warrior when he has all the rest xp and isnt feeling "normal" but im too addicted to ignore the game completely hah

motherboard bios update/reflash
updated video card drivers
lower graphical settings in game
running the game in windowed mode
running the game in opengl vs direct3d
uninstall/reinstall of the game
separate reformat/reinstall windows os with all possible updates
wow patch repair

dont really know what else to try, this totally baffles me

yeah it takes a while to get a full level of rested xp though.

It definatley goes by a LOT quicker with that rest though.

feels nearly twice as fast

^search around WOW forums. There is a fix floating around that has you change the latency/speed of your ram. Something about the timing of it, im not sure. Blizzard doesnt sanction the fix but it seems to fix some peoples problems.

^^^ i just have nothing to do after work really. i work 8-5. but i live less than a mile from my work so i go home and play for 45 mins or so on my lunch hour. and then on the nights i dont go out after i work i just play till bedtime hah. the girl and i usually only have one or two comin nights off together so i have nothing to do the other 5 nights

there are about 6 people from the raleigh area on Shattered Hand in the guild Purge - i think one goes to broughton and the rest went to/go to ncsu


purge is 50+ and unless you come through the alt guild zealots then it's pretty much 60 or nothing

Yeah there are still about 10-20 people playing on Mal'Ganis horde but be warned our server sucks for PVP since our server doesn't have many alliance.

update on error 132:

nothing suggested in the forums by blizzard worked at all

ultimately i decided to switch around my two 512 mb sticks of ram to different slots...

worked like a charm - last night the game ran for 3 hours straight without a crash, as opposed to the frequent (every ten minutes) crashes that were happening before.

anyone else on Dunemaul? i just rerolled over there to play with my kid brother. our guild took down Magmadar and Golamagg and a couple other MC bosses last night. dropped 3 pieces of the Lawbringer set total as well as Earthshaker and 2 pieces of the Might set.

Anyone here write macros? I've done a little bit of research and have yet to see any way to get a "wait" command working. I don't believe there's a way to do it, but I'm not giving up yet. Here's all I want to be able to do:

1. Cast Seal of the Crusader
2. Cast Judgment
3. Cast Holy Shield
4. Cast Seal of Righteousness

I thought that Cosmos was supposed to have a /in command that would allow a pause between casts, but I can't seem to make it work correctly. I do periodically get a "help" type message which attempts to explain it, but I still can't get it to work properly. Short of using something like AC Tools (which I know can get you permabanned), I dunno where to go from here. Help, anyone?

What addons are you guys using anyways? Trying out a couple and can't get some like AutoTravel to work.

Well, I had SoC for a while but found that it did not process enough for me to really appreciate it. Once I reallocated all of my talents into Protection and Holy, I had to drop it altogether. I heavily favor the fast one-handed weapons with a good shield, and SoC greatly favors very slow but very damaging 2-handed weapons. It seems that the slower your weapon is and the more base damage it does, the more it's gonna hurt when SoC [i]does[u] process.

i should really get back to leveling. the last few days ive just done nothing but pvping. its what ive been craving and i tend to just do whatever im in the mood for thatll be fun. which is half the reason im still level 34 on my main character. anywho. last night spent about 5 hours pvping. some at tarren mill. but the best part of the night was when we formed a group of about 30 and raided Booty Bay and then movied into STV. held that down for a good hour almost then we all hopped ship to ratchet and met up in splintertree and ran to astranaar and controlled that for a good 45 mins before we got bored. then we moved to some other places in the night elf territory and eventually took a ship to some alliance harbour in the northern part of the eastern kingdoms where we pvped in a city until alliance called in enough level 60s to finally kill us all. twas a really fun night. not an extraordinary story to share but it was fun
