Oh I see, Hickson got drafted on his physical tools, but "CPH" masterfully developed one and done's Crittenton and Thad Young, ok, I totally see the difference . I don't blame Favors for wanting to stay home, but going to Georgia Tech for Paul Hewitt is absurd, Sendek owned this guy. Hewitt is in year 9, made the NCAA, but has he finished the regular season in the top 3 ever, I know he has one ACCT championship loss and of course the final four where UCONN handed it to them. And if any of you saw Jarrett Jack play at GT, you'd know his pro career is going 10X better than anything he did in college which makes the coach look worse IMO. I mean, John Bunting doesn't look to stellar for sending Willie Parker to the NFL.

This is pretty far from the truth. Jack was badass in college. I think he was the biggest reason they got to the Final Four. Nobody could keep up with him in the tournament. He's been pretty disappointing in the NBA. He started for Portland last year, but basically split minutes with Steve Blake. He's only recently been starting for the Pacers (mainly because of an injury to TJ Ford) and is averaging around 10 and 4 a game. Not exactly 10X better than college.

Yeah but I still wouldn't give Jack's success to Hewitt. The fact that Hewitt has had a lot of talent in the past few years and has produced little to nothing should speak volumes.

Do you give Stephon Curry's success to Bob McKillop because he wasn't highly regarded going into college and has become a superstar? I personally don't. It's the same as us finding P-Riv in football, and I accredit none of P-Riv's success or abilities to CTC, haha.

^I agree. But at the same time, Jack isn't "succeeding" in the NBA...so it definitely doesn't show that Hewitt is a bad coach. I was just arguing against that particular point.

But I've never been a fan of Paul Hewitt. What I posted in another thread:

Here's LaQuinton Ross' myspace page. Coach Drew of Baylor is one of his friends, haha. Maybe that's how he's been recruiting so well lately. He gets into their top friends list and drops messages to them every now and then telling them how great they are. There's a picture of him and Stuart Scott. I wouldn't be surprised if Scott didn't try to play up UNC to him when they met.

I am an NC State graduate and me and a buddy started this blog a while ago that you all might want to check out. We are about to move it to an actual website (the site is under construction)It covers everyone State recruiting...videos...interviews...game by game updates of their stats and their highschool teams record. It also covers the current wolfpack team. The site is updated everyday with new articles and video.
Its basically everything that those premium sites offer.... for free. We dont take anything off of any of those sites ...if we do find an article online we quote our sources (newspapers,magazines) and we are already in contact with most of the commits and a few people inside the NC State basketball program.

Behind a pair of free throws from sophomore Marshall Plumlee, Christ School did just that with 2:47 left in the third quarter. The 50-49 lead shifted momentum back to Christ School. About 30 seconds later, Wall was called for his first foul of the game, sending Baines to the free throw line. Baines hit both free throws, extending Christ School's lead to 52-49. Mason Plumlee scored a two-point basket after a defensive stop at the other end of the court, putting Christ School in front by five-points. It appeared the G5Greenies were in control, as they led for 1:43, but with 1:04 left in the game, Wall hit a two-point bucket to tie the game at 71-points. The Holy Rams fouled Marshall Plumlee with 56.8 seconds left in the game, sending him to the free throw line with a chance to give Christ School a late two-point lead. However, the sophomore split the pair of free throws and Leslie pulled down the rebound, giving the Holy Rams a chance to take the lead. After working the ball around, Wall drove into the lane and dished to the right where Daniels was standing, waiting for the pass. Daniels caught the ball and put up a jump shot that bounced off the rim and into the hands of Christ School's Elijah Johnson. The rebound was the only one of the night for Johnson. Gaines signaled from the sideline for a timeout with 39.4 seconds left, knowing Word of God would probably foul. The Rams waited seven seconds after Christ School inbounded the ball for Wall to foul Jackson. However, the future South Carolina player missed both free throw attempts, leaving the door open for Word of God to take the lead after Leslie pulled down another rebound. The N.C. State commit had nine rebounds on the night. With 21 seconds left on the clock, Wall drove down the lane and forced up a lay-up that fell through the hoop, giving the Holy Rams their first lead since the 3:06 mark of the third quarter. The lead didn't last long. With time running out, Troutman missed a short jump shot with 15 seconds left, but Leslie was whistled for goal tending, giving Christ School a one-point lead. The Holy Rams quickly moved the ball back down the court, and Daniels took a jump shot with 6.5 seconds left, but missed. The two teams battled for the rebound, but the ball bounced off the leg of Daniels out of bounds. Christ School inbounded the ball under Word of God's basket, and Wall fouled Troutman immediately. The Glaxo championship is the first in Christ School's history, as the Greenies remain undefeated on the season. Centennial is now 9-1 on the season. They one both of their Holiday tournaments and Lorenzo Brown took home the MVP of the Glaxo. He is averaging 21.6 ppg. He has scored 20+ points in 8 out of their 10 games. Centennial will be back in action at home against Campbell on January 6th. The much anticipated matchup of Zo versus his God-Brother Ryan Harrow is on January 16th at Centennial.

I think that's kinda the point. A site that focuses on the positives and looks at the future with optimism. Maybe counter-balance the negativity that often oozes from sites such as tww.

It has some nice video clips of our commitments and recruits (check out Harrow in the Walton clip!) . I think our future is looking good with Harrow, Brown, and Wood in the back court.
