holy mother of god, i wish i would have read this thread before.

lewoods, i TRIED to like you in the beginning (as did brainysmurf). you've made that impossible.

"You bitch about me not wanting some cunt like you sticking a needle in my spine"

brainysmurf is one of the most awesome and talented people i know. she knows more than you will ever know about medicine in general.

Quote :
"No, I will NOT let people that can not find their ass with two hands and a flashlight stick needles up my spine."

what the fuck are you even talking about?

Quote :
"Problem is that most of them are inept unless you have one of the basic 8 or so things they normally diagnose. "

good thing we have regulated and controlled medical licensing here in the united states. remind me again, which medical school did you attend?

Quote :
"I won't let 'em have anything but blood unless I can help it."

how, exactly, do you expect anyone to help you, then? i wasn't aware psychic abilities were a requirement for your MD.

Quote :
"I play the BS game with docs, let them try their ideas first and then when they don't work I'll suggest stuff that's more likely to help than what they tried."

i say again - which medical school did you attend? there's a reason the medical profession exists. you knowing how to use wikipedia and google does not equate to a medical degree, residency, and a fellowship. have you ever stopped to think that maybe, just MAYBE, this is the reason no doctors have been willing to help you? it's people like you that bug the crap out of me - i know what i'm doing, and i do it well. i keep myself up to date on best practices and changing theories in medicine. i don't need patients educating me. if i want your thoughts on something, i'll ask for them.

Quote :
"Honestly, I have seen their incompetence with my own eyes and am not gonna let anyone that works at that hospital work on me until the prove they are not like the rest."

i really can't think of a response to this - anyone who reads this statement should automatically assume anything else you say is false due to its content. it's DUKE for fuck's sake.

Quote :
"AND EVERY SINGLE HOSPITAL IN THE MOTHERFUCKING WORLD will fuck shit up.

HUMANS make mistakes all humans make mistakes even you miss perfectly perfect. and since hospitals employ humans they make mistakes.

we clean up mistakes made by other hospitals all of the time, and yes we make them too, only ours are splashed across the headlines because we are Duke. When we make a mistake we learn from it and implement new processes to prevent it from happening again. We have had people tell us but you are Duke, cant you fix this? Folks, there is a higher power out there than Duke. and i dont mean another hospital. Despite the best of care, and the best of intentions, bad shit happens lewoods."

quoted for truth.

also, as far as fillings go: i brush my teeth twice a day and go to the dentist for cleanings/films every 6 months. i've never had a cavity, never had to get a filling, never had to get any dental work done whatsoever. take proper care of your teeth, and you won't need to get fillings.

^ To be fair, some people are much more prone to cavities than others, even if they follow standard dental health. I brush my teeth like mad and get cleanings every 6 months but would still have a cavity or two from time to time

It took 4 pages of derision and crazy bitch-cunting for you to finally pick up a fucking yellowpages?
Or did you just happen to find someone with a similar situation to drop the answer right into your lap?

Got to side with lewoods...the mod in question has no clue how to mod. He moved my topic on AC repair suggestions from The Lounge to The Garage, even though at no point did I ever suggest I was talking about a car. Newsflash: people like to stay cool in their homes too!!

THE GARAGE IS ONLY ABOUT THINGS IN THE GARAGE SON. UNLESS HIS AC SYSTEM IS ACTUALLY IN HIS GARAGE IT DOESN'T BELONG IN THE GARAGE SON.

OH SNAP SON, YOU GOT PWNT.

i just remembered and searched something

she's who i thought she was... the girl who thought a planeload of LIVING people could bring a class action suit.

i challenged her to find out why that was such a silly idea, but she never responded

(it has to do with the dollar amount set aside for class action)

^thx i just got back from searching. actually posted in the thread, just forgot.

that's why you get a toothpaste with a higher concentration of fluoride. never get another cavity, but the possibility for poisoning exists.

My German grandmother is convinced that fluoride is a US government conspiracy to get rid of nuclear reactor waste by putting it in toothpaste
