yea i leveled so much faster and def had more fun when i was up at school and my roommate and 2 other suitemates all played on the same server. itll be nice to move back up to raleigh heh.
im letting my main rest for awhile. im halfway to 39 and out of rest xp. im gonna try and get full rest xp for the second half of 38 and run SM a few more times..i wanna farm the heck out of herod to get his warrior drops

oh yea. you guys should just run the armory then. the cath and graveyard would be too low of level for you. but the armory is like 38 elites and stuff with a 40elite boss. so itd still be good. and its a great way to farm money when you can take em in say 3 man group at your level or so. Herod's drops are all high 30 level, blue items. head, shoulder, legs, waist i think. some ppl complain he should drop plate that can be used in a few levels but oh well. its good stuff.

well i have a bunch of quests that take me through every 'section' of it. Plus I want to see every part of this game so Ill run the entire thing at least once.

elites are no joke man. an elite even a couple levels below you can be a bitch, especially if they gang up on you. Its ok though, our group is well suited.

My warrior has all of his talent points in defense. I take very little damage but i dont do a lot either. My friends lvl 44 warrior is completely focused on arms talents, so he does a shit ton of damage. And my friend lvl 40 priest is focused on healing abilities. So we should be able to roll through groups well.

I have a damn question

Can my dwarven paladin not use a damn gun?? Im gonna be pissed if I can learn how to use a fuckin gun.

My paladin is a skinner/miner. as you get to higher stuff like mithril you can make a lot of money off mining. I also hear higher level pelts and leather are money makers too.

No, not unless your target is undead. Pallies aren't meant to be pullers.

The only ranged weapon you can use in the game is Linkins Boomerange which is from a lvl 50+ quest in Un'goro Crater (its a trinket).

1. the cathedral has higher levels than the armory

hey who said i dont run the caster's instances? ive done the lib 10x more than ive done the armory. ive usually gotten in groups where weve done more than one instance to cover the bases

the ONLY reason i told him to run the armory was since he was already a 44 i didnt know he would have the quest to run in the other instances and was just suggesting what would be the most beneficial to him

yea haha. it pissed me off that i was with some group that we were all like 37-39s and they had a 31 warrior from their guild it was mage, rogue, priest, (me warrior) and the 31 warrior. and considering the 31 warrior couldnt use stuff for like 6-7 levels i was kinda mad halfway in they said "oh yea the 31 warrior is from our guild and he has dibs on herods drops. we're runnin it for him" so i was about to say F that cuz we had already had to rez this character like 3 times and were only halfway through..i mean a 31 gets attacked by a 38 elite and youre in trouble. hah.

anyways sorry to drag this out. i decided to say screw that im rolling anyways without telling them and then we DIED fighting Herod because the priest kept healing the freaking 31 instead of me! i was literally the only person fighting it much. the mage sucked, the warrior sucked, the priest was doing nothing but healing the 31 warrior. i got herod to about 20% health almost solo before i died. as soon as i died they all died in about 30 seconds haha

so long story short..did the whole instance to not even get the drop. worst group ever

i did it one time with some ppl...only got a little ways in and everyone in all instances got ported back to their hearthplace. it was some server error thing. it was a helluvalotta fun tho. going to booty bay and pvping for your life just to make it to the transporter. then getting transported to Gnomeregan and more PVPing getting to the instance as well as mobs.

didnt get too far into the instance tho before we got ported and we were having a hard time finding some key we needed

yeah ive got 2 quests in there that are both green now that i got back when i was lvl 25.

ive read horror stories on the comments for that damn dungeon. It could be that the people are just idiots and dont know what they are doing, but still. lvl 60s staying away is kinda strange.

The reason that everyone hates Gnomeregan is because it is a low level dungeon that is really easy to wipe in if you have an idiot in your group. Considering most groups going there are going to be pickup means you are bound to have a bad experience.

gnomeregan is tough, but fun. the problem is that most of the mid-20s trying to do it are too low and too inexperienced. most got used to steamrolling the deadmines at 20+ (usually with someone's lvl 60 friend)then expect the same thing there. you really need a balanced party of 29+'s that know what they're doing. the bringing along a high level trick doesn't work nearly as well b/c a 50 or 60 can get raped pretty easily by a handful of 30 elites when everyone else is sitting around watching. (or pulling more mobs into the battle...)

Even though I don't play anymore, I always wished more people did that instance

60s stay away from Gnomergon because it was the first LONNNNNNNNNNNNG instance. I remember doing that a few weeks after release, and it was just such a long pain in the ass.

they sometimes let you migrate servers, but you dont get to chose which server. you go from high to low population when they allow it.

Shadowfang Keep is, far and away, the best instance in the game. Especially if you're a caster.

It's a shame Alliance don't get any quests for it.

^^Alliance Pallie's get a quest that needs them to go into Shadowfang to retrieve a hammer from the stables.

I kept fucking asking other people to go hit that instance with me when I was lower level, but nobody would go or had ever been before on Alliance side or in my guild. Finally just did the bitch myself when I was level 36.

^ Just link priests and mages to the Robes of Arugal, Feline Mantle, and the other blue drops in SFK. There's no other dungeon that does as much for casters as that dungeon does. Robes of Arugal are better than the Robe of Doan (from SM) and pretty much the best you're going to get until Robes of the Lich. A lot of people just get the one from Doan though, since you're already there trying to get the Illusionary Rod.

Question for rogues:

Im trying to figure out which is better. A guy was telling me that my boot and cloak enchant would be better as a +40 armor kit and a +50 cloak enchant and it made me think if the 90 armor would be better than 6 agil. ive always just gone with straight agility.

^^^ just run scarlet monestary all day :p with rest XP i get near half a level just running the armory and more running the cath. armory takes about an hour with a good group and cath maybe an 1hr and 30 mins with a good group. i dont remember how long hte library takes.

should hit 39 tonight or the next time i get to play for an hour or two

Munkey, the 90 armor won't reduce damage very much... and as a dps class, it's your job to know how much and how quickly you can dish out damage before you'll pull aggro in a party; if you are fairly good at controlling that and don't often get hit, go for the extra agility. if you are already pulling a lot of hate regularly, the armor might be worth it. but just remember that bonuses to agility also help you dodge, so extra agility can sometimes balance out for less armor in that manner anyway.

had a good bit of fun this weekend going through deadmines with a couple buddies.

my paladin hit 22 yesterday so now im gonna drag my friends on my paladin only quest through 3 instances for some mace thats supposed to be good.

We had a lvl 28 warrior team up with us in the deadmines, but he wasnt very good. he couldnt keep aggro, didnt see him cancel one spell, only shout i saw was battle shout. No rends or intimidating shouts. And he would roll on shit that he could get no use out of. fucking annoying.

that sucks man. i couldnt cancel spells that well until i got pummel (unless i was already using a shield) at 36. but sounds like taht warrior sucked. rending is nice and i try to do it when i can..but if youre not rending at all you should be sunder armoring the crap out of everybody

I was pretty much confined to heal bitch, which was fine. I could go fight but if I drew too much aggro I couldnt heal my party members.

I figure I can get a level or two more and we can go back in without that warrior and clean house.

level wise i think its similar to wailing caverns, though nowhere NEAR as big. Its also easier from what i can tell.

Althought I hate goblins and they call these little lvl 20 elite machines as long as they are alive. annoying but doable.

I am definately finding that the alliance sides quests and environments and music seem to have had much more time devoted to them in relation to their horde counterparts.
