It's weird that the highest ranked recruit in the class (and the highest one who will have actually played for keatts) is the one that I've seen talked about the least. I guess it's because the other 2 are local guys. But the lack of buzz around Ross just seems weird to me.

Ernest Ross - highest rated recruit who will have actually played for Keatts (Lecque and Hall were higher). Athletic big guy who's prob pretty raw.

Terquavion Smith - outstanding shooter/scorer. has led his team to back to back 2A state championships (so far)

Breon Pass - athletic guard who can also score. Was also a high D1 wr prospect.

we'll have plenty of guard depth next year if Terq and Pass are ready to contribute. obviously they are just freshmen and will have a learning curve...but Shak, Hayes, Allen, Seabron, Terq, and Pass is a pretty full backcourt. Seabron is versatile and can play other positions too.

i'm more worried about the frontcourt. I'm hopeful the freshmen bigs develop, but they couldn't get on the court at all this year. so that's concerning. it would be nice to add an immediately eligible forward...

scholarship count for next year:
FR - Terquavion Smith, Breon Pass, Ernest Ross
SO - Hayes, Moore, Seabron, Gibson, Farrar, Dowuona
JR - Bates
SR - Allen, Hellems

so that's 12...we would have room to add 1 more if there are no transfers. i know this year didn't count toward eligibility so i guess the sophomores are technically still freshmen next year and so on. but you get it. the glaring question marks are the front court and 3 point shooting. we have bodies for the front court but idk if any of them besides Bates are any good. Hellems is obviously an undersized 4 when he's in that role, but can play it. as for 3 point shooting, Hellems, Hayes, Moore all can shoot but seem streaky. Allen can be a more reliable option...but woof he struggled when asked to do anything besides shoot this year.

We reached out to Kaiden Rice at The Citadel. 6'7 wing that averaged 17.6 ppg and .348 from 3. He hit 3.7 3s a game. Also attempted 10.6 because apparently that is all they do.
