This season is coming together quite nicely...I particularly enjoyed Boyd's speech at the VFW and how it reminded me of Harlan County USA. 3/15/2012 12:10:04 AM |

Yeah, interesting seeing the breakdown of Quarrels. Just fortifies the common thought that he wont make it through the season. I am sort of hoping his death isnt caused by his gun sticking though, it would be too predictable at this point. 3/21/2012 9:08:25 AM |

i predict that either A. his gun sticks and raylan kills him or B. Boyd ends up killing him (with or without gun sticking) 3/21/2012 5:00:01 PM |

Oh, you can definitely tell that Raylan wants Quarles now. He is out for blood after seeing a fellow lawman go down.
great episode...
i'm interested to see if Boyd will be a big player next week since he got knocked out by the blast. was he arrested?
And is Dickie dead? I couldn't tell
Finally, I guess Limehouse is comfortable letting Loretta keep the money? Now he just wants to be left alone...

^ Yeah, Raylan is going to be going after Quarles hard. I have a feeling Arlo is going to somehow get in the way. I anticipate an Arlo vs Raylan stand down.. here is how I see it going -
Arlo goes to rob the bank, he barely escapes with no money. Keep in mind last week he called Boyd Raylan. Now he is going to run into Raylan and think it is Boyd and be super pissed at him about the money. He will draw and Raylan will put him down.
Or something like that. Either way I think Raylan is going to have to put down Arlo this week.
Dickie is still alive I think - I believe Raylan shot him in his good leg.
From the look of the preview there is still a big stand down at Limehouse's. My guess is it will have pretty much everyone there, they will all take down Quarles and go their separate ways. But there will be some sort of cliffhanger with Theo Tonin which will set him up as next seasons big bad. 4/6/2012 12:27:53 PM |
BDubLS1 All American 10406 Posts user info edit post |
Good theories there...
I guess they really didn't have anything worthwhile to arrest Boyd and Cousin Johnny on... since afterall, they were the ones being attacked and confronted by Quarles.
Wonder what comes of Wynn? He probably tries to get in good with Theo...
And I can't help but think that if Theo is the big bad for next season, then it will turn out similar to this season. We'll see I guess. 4/6/2012 3:01:05 PM |

I'm not sure I want Adam Arkin to be next season's big bad. We're only two seasons removed from him being the central antagonist on Sons of Anarchy.
****SPOILER****
But it looks like, via IMDB, that Theo Tonin will definitely be making an appearance in the finale.

Quarles reaching for the arm and Raylan's slowly moving of said arm away from him was great in its minimalism. I watched that scene half a dozen times.
The finale didn't have the tragic end like season 2 with Mags and I felt like there was supposed to be more, but really Raylan solved most of the season's issues with the missing Bennett money in the penultimate episode so all that was really left to do was track down Quarles. 4/11/2012 8:05:29 AM |
dzags18 All American 5694 Posts user info edit post |
I would say it was just as tragic. Raylan realizes his dad truley hates him and would kill him to protect Boyd and the mother of his child once again blows him off. 4/11/2012 8:08:07 AM |
Jeepin4x4 #Pack9 35774 Posts user info edit post |
i can agree with that, i guess i meant more in terms of this season's villains. By the end we knew Quarles would be taken down, but it was less interesting. He went from a really interesting cold blooded bad guy who really could have damaged Raylan to a stark raving lunatic just running around trying to stay afloat towards the end.
but you are right, that full reveal of Arlo once again trying to kill Raylan and Winona's delayed reaction was really really good.

nor was there going to be. The Mags character was something special, brought on more so by the performance of Margo Martindale than anything else, and trying to recreate that again would have felt forced and artificial. sometimes bad guys are just bad guys. 4/12/2012 8:55:48 AM |

Quote : | "The fourth season of Justified doesn’t premiere for another two months, but slowly, bit-by-bit, pieces of information about it are dribbling out. First there was the teaser trailer, which didn’t really reveal much of anything, but was still pretty important because WHOSE HAND IS THAT? And whose boot? Is Raylan okay?! And where’s Ava?! Tell me more immediately or I will hold my breath UNTIL I DIE. Then later we found out some news about Patton Oswalt’s recurring role as Constable Bob, a cop wannabe who undercuts the state police in the paper-serving racket. Good. Great. Grand. Wonderful. BUT TELL ME ABOUT THE BAD GUYS ALREADY.
Done. (Spoiler-y info ahead.)
In Season 4, we’ll head up into the mountains of Kentucky to meet the hill people, a dangerous backwoods group of ruffians who aren’t all there, if you know what we’re saying. The leader of the group, Cope Entiss, tends to capture and kill any outsiders who trespass into their territory. Turns out, though, that one of the hill people, Mary, recognizes Raylan… and may be related to him. [Zap2It]
Oh God, I want all of this in my eyes right now. I want Raylan to march up into the hills, possibly with Boyd, and just start shooting hill people two at a time for offenses ranging from “attempting to kill him” to “just kind of standing there and looking like an asshole.” And I want Winona to come back to town and get all pissy about it, like “Whah won’t you ever chaaaiiiinnge, Rie-lan?,” to which Raylan will respond “Guess I just can’t,” causing Winona to pack up her crap and flee to Lexington or Memphis or Whereverthef-ck Junction in a huff, like she always does. And I want Ava to whack and/or shoot somebody who got lippy, and I want Art to be all “Awwww dangit, Raylan,” and I want Tim to be a sarcastic dick about everything, and I want it all as soon as possible. I don’t think I’m asking too much." |

but the villain better be pretty good because that guy from last season (can't remember his name) was a really good villain.. his transition from an in-control baddy to an out-of-control lunatic was fun to watch and the suspense of the "arm gun" was cool.. 11/13/2012 4:46:06 PM |
