this thread isn't necessarily about bringing change to the way ST is moderated. it comes down to the fact that Beardawg doesn't post anymore. so rather than let him remain a mod, i'm taking him down. and since ST is active enough to warrant another active mod, i figure WHY THE HELL NOT add a replacement. at the least, it makes for some discussion in here about what/who makes a good mod, and will give a respected and deserving user the ability to more greatly influence the direction of ST

in other words, it's about doing something rather than nothing
