^Nice!, I didn't see your car, but I ran into you multiple times

^^ It'll be ok with the blower (219/227 112+0), should produce great torque numbers is what my tuner has said. But ideally I'd like to change it out to a cam with more exhaust duration and a little bit higher LSA and some advance ground into it. Something along the lines of a 219/235 113+1 would be the perfect cam. I've thought about doing a swap when I install the blower, but the cam plate retaining bolts are a bitch to remove (must be drilled out 80% of the time) so it'll stay until I'm willing to pay someone to do it.

^ lol

The Mustangs are always the deepest group at C&C, although one month there was at least 20 rx7's that pulled in together. I will say there was some really nice cars out at this one.

I was told by TKE-Teg that this is some sorta special Porsche. 1 of 250 ever made or something like that.

^^There was one just like that in the Porsche Design exhibit at the Art Museum last year. I'll have to dig up the info on it (if I bothered to photograph the info board.)

Basically it's a homage to the 1970's 930, with the ducktail spoiler and Fuchs-style wheels.

I'm pretty sure it's the same one. Only 20 were sold in the US and the one at the museum was from a private collection, not Porsche.

BTW nice meeting you BlackJesus! Also after checking out that video briefly I have to say...WTF, I never saw that McLaren 650S!!!!

^Nice to meet you. Between looking at your Porsche, and some guy letting me sit in his new M4, I will at least consider a non domestic as my next car.

I had NO idea I was looking at a 250k car. WOW

I think you'd enjoy driving an M3/4. It's BMW's best attempt at making a muscle car. By all accounts its very difficult to get the power down in that car and is best to leave the traction control on (in some capacity at least). The razor sharp handling and near perfect feedback that BMW's have been previously known for is regrettably absent from the new M3/4.

As to Porsche...you'll prob wanna stay away from Caymans. If I recall correctly you're about my height or slightly taller and I barely fit in my Cayman.

But the Cayman is way more ergonomic, luxurious, and daily drive-able than say a Lotus or an S2k, at least for people of our size... I'd consider a Cayman S. Don't rule it out till you try it BJ!

I actually like the idea of having a smaller car. I figure I might as well get a coupe before I get a family/kids. We all know fun cars go out the window when a family pops up. I'll definitely be test driving some German toys when the time comes.

Yeah that's more or less my philosophy. I'll drive a 4 door sedan when it's required in the future (for family duties). Until that day arrives...2 doors only.

Why not 2 cars? I have a Cayman S and a Forester XT. It's nice having that choice of which keys to grab on the way out in the morning

2 cars definitely makes things easier
..third vehicle will be a truck for me

[Edited on March 26, 2015 at 9:58 AM. Reason : spent enough last year renting pickups to buy a decent used truck]

^^2 cars and a truck would probably be my ideal setup. I'm strongly leaning towards keeping the G8 (The design is aging well, doesn't look dated for a 5-6 year old car) and buying a real sports car next. Muscle sedan, sports car, and diesel truck. Perfect garage to me.

Yea, but the old location sucked imo. The occupants didn't want C&C there, where as the new location only has one business that is impacted, and the theater isn't open before 11. You should come out, its a good time, especially for a ford guy like you.

Why not meet somewhere between CLT and Raleigh? maybe Gboro or Piedmont Dragway?

I'd suggest Rudy's event this weekend, but someone has to go and get married @adam8778 on the same day.

Weather is looking perfect. It's going to be a packed house, so come early if you want to be in the display parking.

Also come check out my blower, I'll be in my usual spot up by the theater entrance.

Quote :
"***BE ADVISED***
The parking lot at the Raleigh Grande developed a sink hole, roughly 5 feet in diameter and unknown depth, some time this afternoon. Steve, the GM of the theater, also pointed out several new cracks in the blacktop surrounding the hole.
We do not want to cancel the event and know it would be difficult to get the word out with such little notice even if we had to. We will be losing a undetermined number of spaces for tomorrow's event. We never want to be selective of the vehicles allowed in but we ask that everyone consider the limited space and park in the Target lot if you are there more to spectate than to display.
We appreciate your understanding and patience with this setback. We could use volunteers in the morning to help communicate and direct around the new obstacle and traffic pattern. We will be there by 7:00. Please feel free to approach us to help out."
