I don't give a shit about the stunt casting if they write some jokes to go along with it.

Like the HPV/HIV thing was a laugh line, but it's just essentially repeating a headline verbatim. It's like the Chris Farley show or 'member berries, "remember this thing you read about Trump this week??"

There's a million other jokes they could have made that would have seen not so....out of touch? I mean to the point of the joke, care to take bets about the last time Jost took the subway?

I don't think SNL is interested in being an activist show. Jokes and viewership/ad dollars is the name of their game.

I guess you're hung up on Trump hosting back in 2015, and that's valid, but that was a different world than we live in now. Crenshaw is a valid criticism too, but I don't think SNL has ever been what you want them to be.

I suppose even for the centrist Dem leaning jokes they typically too, the Amazon one was a little too obviously bowing to corporate overlords. For me anyway.

I thought Sandra Oh was a good host. Future Self was a great Oh vehicle. Kate's old lady trying to get everyone to kiss at the birthday party was pretty funny, but she doesn't do much wrong to my eyes. The Duel towards the end made me laugh pretty hard.

I'm been done with these stupid cold opens for months so obviously didn't enjoy that at all. I could have done without the Jeanine Pirro segment.

I've seen (ok fast forwarded thru) far worse episodes.
