hahah i have farmed over 100 kingsblood lastnight! our lead weaponsmith is doing the reputation shit with thorium brotherhood, adn i have lead 7 BRD runs for guildies that need parts to the onyxia key chain... long story short.... we got about 300 dark iron ore, 1400 residue.... but only 100 kingsblood......and its going for 10g a stack on shattered hand

^ a few of us are on mal'ganis horde (I am Vermithrax on there, I am a tailor so I can hook you up with bags/low level caster equipment if you want to try an alt on our server.)

^^ I got it by farming the elites in Winterspring (Darkwhisper Gorge). Took 52 hours of in-game time before it finally dropped. If you are trying to get some for your guild I believe Aeternus sells them for 1500g. All mobs in Darkwhisper Gorge supposedly have an equal chance at dropping the Eye of Shadow so I just farmed everything in the zone.

Outerlimits has been bribing me with stacks of runecloth to help him farm out there, probably spent ~6hrs farming, at least there are some rich thorium veins in the area. Dolamite already bought one from Aeternus and Heavenslight got one from when we killed Kazzak.

^ Nice. They will get the staff soon then once the next patch goes in and then drop rate for hunter/priest epic becomes 100%. And yeah, farming in Winterspring is mind numbingly boring but it does drop there, not a myth or anything. Most of the time I either duoed with a warrior or a warlock (kite with curse of exhaustion). If they have any questions about the quest I would be glad to answer them. I passed the quest on my second try self buffed.

Have my Warrior alt up to 53...my main project atm is getting him rep with Thorium Brotherhood and lvling his Blacksmithing/Armorsmithing to 300...which will be a pain, but I like the Imperial Plate set so it will be somewhat worth it until I start gettin more valor stuff...Kingsblood is going for 5g a stack in Mal'ganis...but after I get that shit out of the way I have steady donations of Dark Iron residue coming in....only 1/4 more rep to go till friendly...maybe only 3-4 more stacks of kingsblood for that

Hey Illusionary Rod is a valid option up till 60. You can go to Maraudon and get the dagger / cloud stone offhand but for a caster they aren't really that much better.

At 60 it is nice because you have so many options. Argent Crusader / Dancing Silver are both amazing quest staffs plus all of the other cool staffs that are dropped.

the mid lvl 50 GREENS are better than that..... however i used the charstone dirk and spore cloud combo from maura also, until i got trindelhaven staff from wyrm in LBRS (this is an easy kill with a good grp of mid 50's, but 60's really help)
