True. But we haven't reached that stage yet. Recruits are still coming in. Lets hope Gott doesn't squander top talent.

this. im sayin I would love to have him back for one more season. I know its a very long shot, but maybe he enjoys college so much he just wants to come back. I mean, his draft stock can't get MUCH worse that it is now, can it?!? 3/24/2013 12:38:04 PM |

I'm gonna miss Leslie for sure. I hope he does well in whatever he wants to do...I'm not so sure being an exceptional pro player is really something he wants to do.

^Has he came out and said he's leaving? Or are you and Face just speculating? I fully expect he's gone, just checking.
If he comes back, I'd love for us to go small next year and start CJ and Warren in the post. Rebounding would be an issue, but we'd be lethal in transition. 3/24/2013 2:45:18 PM |

I have been pulling for Leslie to become consistent and play non-selfish, mature basketball all year long, but this article makes me want to punch him in his mouth.

Quote : | " Even after their season ended, a season that seemed to be filled with lessons of how you do it right and how you don’t, the message didn’t seem to fully sink in. A couple stalls down from Lewis, Leslie, the most talented but enigmatic player on a talented but enigmatic team, said this team wasn’t always there mentally.
In the next breath, he showed he wasn’t always there mentally, either. Moments after losing, he spoke about their turnaround in his three years in Raleigh. “We started from dirt,” Leslie said.
His sophomore year they made the Sweet 16. This year they got on the national radar.
Then he did something that would make the basketball gods weep. To show that this season’s team — a colossal disappointment nearly to the level of NIT loser Kentucky — was actually a partial success, Leslie mentioned the team’s No. 6 preseason AP ranking as his primary evidence.
Which gives us one final sin against one more commandment from the basketball gods: Thou shalt never, ever, ever cite your national ranking from November as an example of success in March." |

When teams start to bail on defensive rebounds and get back to play defense instead this becomes a useless strength as we have to play half court basketball every possession.3/24/2013 5:48:24 PM |

^^ He would have to play like Lebron next year to get back into lottery territory. Next year's draft can't possibly be weaker than this one either so he is fighting that battle too. I'm afraid that ship as sailed. 3/26/2013 10:24:53 AM |

I like how all this "news" gets started by one schmuck posting his opinion on a blog and then tweeting it and people using that as a #source.

Howell, Zo and Warren are all projected higher than CJ. I think he would benefit greatly if he stayed. As has been said before, look at how much Howell improved his senior year - I would like to see the same for CJ.
If Zo stays, I think Cat will decommit or Lewis will transfer, the latter of which being less likely because I doubt he would want to sit out - but he may also benefit from a year putting weight on.
