i heard about that omar..... we were all rooting for you in Fates Warning. Purge and Mass Chaos had their first Rag take downs withen hours of each other I believe.

Priests are pretty nasty, especially when spec'd shadow. Someone earlier in the thread mentioned a good way to spend your talent points when you start getting them at level 10 if you don't have any ideas.

My roommates guild takes out Rag every week on magtheridon, he also claimed they were the first to take out the first boss in BWL after the patch to make him harder. Also claimed the 2nd boss in BWL is unbeatable haha.

Yeah I tried reading through this thread, but there wasn't too much that was useful, other than reading over the flame fest around page 15 or so. But I just started using the talent calculator that they just put up on the WoW hopepage, and that is really useful.

I'm trying to determine what kind of priest I want to be, either focusing on shadow or holy skills...leaning towards holy right now.

^^ That is not a decision you should make until level 60. Unless you have a dedicated group of people you can group with every time you want to level you should spec shadow so that you can solo. Once you get to 60 you can spec holy if you want like most people do.

at any point you can pay your class trainer to reset your talent points and respend them. any priest planning on running the raid instances respecs to holy/disc at 60. if you're just planning on doing pvp/battlegrounds at 60, you could stay shadow.

no, good questions. It costs 1g the first time, then 5g, 10g, etc., caps at 50g. I think that's how it goes.

but yeah, spec'ing shadow will improve your kill rate by a TON...it's much more useful when doing quests and killing shit on your own.

OMG!!!! One Scholo raid dropped both my Dreadmist Shoulders and the Mask!!! I won the shoulders, but lost the mask to another lock. I will probably never see it drop again. I almost fell out of my chair when I was the mask drop only to lose it. The good thing is that I am level 57 1/2 so it's not like I have been 60 for a while and hurting for my set gear. The Necropile Robes also dropped but I let her have them because I worked too hard for my Mooncloth ones.

^Congrats. Because of the summer my guild has been having problems with people showing up. We have been clearing from Luci to Domo with just 30. Doing Domo with only 3 mages is always fun.

Someone mentioned that hitting V when fighting her helps to target the real her. At least I wasn't trying to tank that. I am just a squishy finger wiggler. So, what do I do once I am level 60 and have my first set gear? I don't exactly hear people in IF shouting for MC pick-ups.

Now the real question. After coming oh so close to getting my DM mask last night do I run Scholo tonight until I get it, or study for my last Calc test that is tomorrow????? Oh so tough.

^^ You have to join a guild that raids regularly if you want to experience WoW content past your level 60 set gear. It will take you a month or so of raiding at 60 to get your full Dreadmist set if that is what you are shooting for though.

In Scholo you should be using MA anyways (including the tank). The MA will have a /target Jandice macro so you don't have to worry about attacking the right one.

+400 or more defense is good for off tanking golemaggs adds, full prot spec till you have the epics to switch over to MS/prot combo that nearly all of our warriors use. fire resist is not exactly a requirment for an off tank till you hit rag. then you want +300 or more buffed FR as a rag off tank.
just run Dire Maul till you have every piece of +defense gear out of it.

hell i dunno i just heal warriors. i think all of our warriors were full prot before the talent tree change, then they switched mortal strike / rest in prot

Alot of defense gear you can get off the AH, if you are poor, get some guildies and run DM and get the poor mans stuff.
