if they ever make rage similar to the rogues energy in terms of regeneration, the warrior might be useful for something other than pretending to draw aggro

what are the best hunter skills to invest in?

I have invested all my skills into ranged attacks. Right now I am a 33 hunter and every talent is in marksmanship. I use a rifle with low dmg but high speed for ranged and a two handed sword with slow speed but high dmg per hit as a melee.

personally, i enjoyed using a 1handed sword+dagger but i've moved to the 1hander lately beause of a good offhand item. i would prefer to use a dagger because when i get into melee, its because they didnt want to attack my bear and i need to hit the enemies with wing clip very fast so i can run. i do much more damage with my bow. but its all about preference. im bow specced, so my bow is my weapon of choice. i've put pts into my hunters mark, concussion and other bow stuff.

I just got rifle skill from the weapon master (long damn hike from ogrim to thunder bluffs!)

now to save up for a rifle

are rifles or bows more damaging?

also How is axe as my melee (I'm a hunter), I like the bonus from orcs towards axes, but should I learn swords or something as well?

if you go by DPS, it varies depending on weapon level. I couldn't find a better bow than my 7.9 DPS one from level 16-22. But at like level 18 i could pickup a 9DPS Gun.

So as long as you have both skills i Wouldn't worry about it. Just pick whichever does one you can use that does more DPS.

Unless of course you're looking to be more specific than DPS. In that case just examine them to see which gives you what you want. i.e. fast but low damage vs slow but high damage.

Im using a 9 dps rifle right now, but i put a bid in on an 11 dps bow at the AH last night.

Get as many weaponskills as you can, and then focus on the weaponskill that includes your most powerful weapon.

Same thing with talents; spend 1 Gold to re-learn talents based on your most powerful spells/abilities/weapons. But wait to re-learn talent points until level 50+ so you'll know EXACTLY how you want your character to end up.

I believe guns have more up-front damage. Bows might out damage you in the long run, but in PVP encounters I'd rather have the damage come in fast chunks than over time.

i'd go with whatever shoots faster with a reasonable amount of damage. i put points into my critical hit skills so now i deal more average dps overall (not dps by the weapon itself).

as for a melee weapon, just like people are saying, learn as many weapons as you can and fit it to whatever weapon you have.

I just spent the last hour and half ganking Alliance fags with another warlock.

We used a bait and switch, I'd be bait, let them attack me directly while they took damage from my DoT spells and pets, then I'd use an ubar potion and the other warlock would step in for some quick nukes.

lvl 30 Pally got raped fast.

He was the only one of note we hit.

We were 27 and 22 respectively.

My guild went into Sun Rock 2 nights ago and took over the town for over an hour.

We logged over 100 horde kills. Most of the time we were outnumbered and outleveled.

Then we got rolled by forty horde. Was fun.

I play on Mannoroth. The blance there actually isn't that bad.

Horde may have less population on a lot of servers... but holy fuck does the alliance BLOW at PVP.
