Simple question. Do you enjoy watching United play football under Mourinho? Yes or no. Nothing about media or narratives.

Yesterday? Yes I did because we nullified a very good attack in their own backyard. It wasn't free flowing football but every match requires different methods. I have always liked Mourinho though and while I don't always agree with his methods I can see what he is doing and if he wins a title during his time at United he will have been right.

Um where have I hated on Klopp? I would take Klopp over Mourinho still. I enjoy his style of football more. See I can actually respect the strengths of opposition managers and where you guys clearly fail to understand is that there are different ways to win. Mourinho's strengths have always been defensive football and he is playing to it. I am amazed people are surprised by this. That doesn't mean I don't like Mourinho though, it takes something special to do what he did against one of the best teams ever (Barcelona). What narrative are you trying to push? This was a useless post as usual.

When Mou plays defensive with Inter against Barca he is a tactical genius. When he does the same at United or Chelsea he is a shit negative manager. Which one is it?

(Almost like being a West Ham fan and then an Arsenal fan, am I right?)

I hear ya wazza.

For me, I am a big believer in youth and Mourinho has a very good track record with young academy players so I'd definitely enjoy that if I were a United fan.

How many Liverpool academy players were in your starting 11? How many in the squad? I will help you out. Zero. United had one academy graduate starting and one on the bench.

This is just weaksauce now. If you are going to troll at least troll appropriately. I love how Mourinho has gotten under the skin of a shit ton of people after one match.

In all seriousness, I hate Mourinho and have always hated Mourinho and most likely would watch my team less and less if he managed it until he fucked off somewhere else. I'm not saying he's a bad coach. I'm saying I hate watching his teams and not just because he's at United now. I've always rooted against him as a neutral.

Good for you for forcing yourself to appreciate it though, I honestly respect you for it. I'm just not going to force myself to watch awful football (unless it's the USA).

Fair enough. I get why people don't like it. I have been on the opposite end of it as well but I will say that once he is your manager he does have a way to create a siege mentality in the players and fans. He has managed to do that so far.

I support the club at the end of the day and not an individual player/manager. If I can watch our football under Moyes and LVG I can certainly handle watching Mourinho who at times does play exciting. Its also good to be respected (albeit in a way that says yes Mou is a winner but he isn't a good winner).

^^^^wait I don't think aimorris has to defend Pools youth bc hasn't spend a ton of time in this thread talking about how important youth is, that is your stance.

^ Sure but Mourinho is actually giving our youth a chance. Not only that but he is continuing to give players that everyone thought would have no place at United (Mata, Young, and Felliani) a chance as well. Not to mention dropping Rooney.

I can understand criticizing him based on last night's defensive performance but as a manager Mourinho has done all the right things so at this point it is just naivety or trolling.

Jose lost it today. Embarrassing. Europa on Thursday didn't help but this was a terrible performance. Jose needs to figure out how to get these 11 players to play as a team. Bern our problem all season.

Lmao. I like how you are comparing what I said which clearly reflected to off field comments (which he hasn't really engaged in) and him giving youth a chance to losing a match as a manager and getting his tactics wrong.

I get it everyone hates us and enjoys the schadenfreude but if you are going to keep complaining about the quality of the posts in here then maybe you should aim to contribute better comments.

I agree individual mistakes hurt us but Jose has to be better with his team selections and tactics. Once we were down 1-0 I get that his initial game plan went out the door but it is his job as a manager to prepare the team to react to that situation. I agree the players deserve a lot of blame for this. However, I can't see what Jose's plan in the final third is yet. The team isn't playing together and rather trying to do things individually. You can throw as much money as you want at a team but if they can't play as a team then its never going to work. Jose as the manager needs to get them to do that.

Yes clearly I was referencing the qualities of Jose as a game manager when I mentioned I understand criticizing him based on his performance but he is doing all the right things off the field. Getting a bit ridiculous at this point. In fact last night he could have easily criticized the referee for the BS on Fellaini and behaved the way he did at Chelsea last season but he didn't. Before you bring up the comments to Conte he didn't put the blame elsewhere and even apologized to the United fans. You won't hear that mentioned in the press though.

Doesn't really get much more clear than that as to what I was referencing. Never change haters, never change. The difference here is that you lot have this preconceived notion like aimorris saying he hates Mourinho and no matter what anyone says you won't change that perspective ever. Especially when it comes to Man United. So I don't expect you guys to ever have a pragmatic viewpoint here.

I have been more complimentary of our rivals than I ever expect anyone else to be about United. Thats the price of being the most successful team in England, your rivals will always be bitter and every loss is blown out of proportion. Then you accuse United fans of being smug in the face of the constant schadenfreude.

Pitchforks out for United even before the match starts now haha. Lose and you lost to City's reserves at home after getting walloped at Chelsea. Win and we only beat a half-strength City team. While the media continues to ignore that City are winless in 5 matches.
