I had been assuming that it would be Netanyahu somehow convincing Trump that American troops invading Lebanon was a good idea and that would devolve into a full war with Iran. Now it looks like the gulf states could probably just openly pay Trump, Trump would announce it was the greatest deal ever, and we would start bombing Iran the next day. It seems like Netanyahu and Trump’s relationship has soured a bit.

I mean, it's not zero. Jets get lost, usually maybe 2-3 per year (just the tactical USN/USMC jets...not talking about other aircraft, or USAF assets)...but yeah, this is way anomalous, to lose 3 jets from 1 boat on the same cruise, and at least 2 of them are in sorta freaky ways.

and they're engaged in combat to some extent. It's not like it's a secret, though.
