The GOP rep who wanted to execute Clinton defended Trump citing this:
http://shoebat.com/2016/07/31/what-the-media-is-not-telling-you-about-the-muslim-who-attacked-donald-trump-he-is-a-muslim-brotherhood-agent-who-wants-to-advance-sharia-law-and-bring-muslims-into-the-united-states/

But remember, both parties are the same.

Trump's taking a beating in the polls the past few days.

If the polls stay this volatile for the next few months, probably a good time to invest in the makers of Prilosec.

Cool, Paul Ryan's GOP primary competitor asked on the radio why we can't just deport all Muslims and not just ban them from coming in to the country.

Even if Hillary Clinton wins the presidency in a landslide, there’s no way Democrats can retake the House of Representatives -- because there aren't enough competitive House races for them to do it. The Republican advantage in the House is now 247-188 — the GOP’s biggest margin since Election Day 1928 -- requiring Democrats to win 29 more. Sadly, no way.

The reason is the radical GOP gerrymandering after the 2010 census -- more brazen and technologically sophisticated than any other in modern political history. (The same gerrymandering allows the Republicans to govern with a supermajority in Ohio, North Carolina and Wisconsin, despite getting less votes overall.)

Consider that in the 2012 presidential election, Democrats received 1.4 million more votes than Republicans nationwide, but Republicans maintained a 234-201 advantage of seats in the House -- the first time in 40 years that the party with the most votes did not come away with the most House seats.

Gerrymandering is the most insidious form of voter suppression in America. It must be ended with a new Voting Rights Act. But how to get such legislation when Republicans still run the House?

What do you think?

You are right, but gerrymandering is hardly a GOP thing. The NC districts are laugh out loud bad.

So sean spicer, cheif strategist and comm director for RNC, is on board with Trumps plan to deflect his own sexual assault with accusing Hillary of being the true abuser.

It amazes me how so many people in the Democratic party ignore actual sexual assault on women by one of their golden boys yet try to make a big deal out of some words said by someone else.

I bet Trump has paid for a lot of love over the years, and has taken advantage of his status from women willing.

But how many times has Bill Clinton been accused of actual rape? And i'm not talking about the Hannity accusations, I mean at least once there's been a real accusation and real world consequences for Bill resulted from it. But somehow that's ok. Yet when the Republican candidate describes something that almost isn't physically possible, everybody is in outrage."

**EDIT - I understood the assault part that Hillary mentioned to be "Grab them by the **" However after further reading, I believe this is what they're talking about :

Quote :
"Just kiss. I don't even wait," Trump said. "And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything.""

If so, then I got nothing in defense of that. Just nothing. Bill is still a rapist though.

What he said was deplorable. It isn't changing my vote though because I wasn't voting for him to start with.

To me this is a perfect example of faux outrage from the left.

Is this true? There have certainly been accusations in the same way Trump has been accused of rape (civil trial starts soon) but I think it would have been pretty big news if he went to trial or something, no? Has there even been any settlements?

From wikipedia:

Quote :
"On November 13, 1998, Clinton settled with Jones for $850,000, the entire amount of her claim, but without an apology, in exchange for her agreement to drop the appeal. Robert S. Bennett, Clinton's attorney, still maintained that Jones's claim was baseless and that Clinton only settled so he could end the lawsuit and move on with his life.[9] In March 1999, Judge Wright ruled that Jones would only get $200,000 from the settlement and that the rest of the money would pay for her legal expenses.[13]"

I'm not really defending Trump here, just trying to point out hypocrisy. I mean Trump's defense of Mike Tyson, and the things he said surrounding that case should be enough for people to understand how Trump really feels about women. But you can't give Bill Clinton a pass and then make such a big deal about Trump.

^^^^ are you serious? clinton settled with paula jones $850k and had to pay $90k penalty for intentionally false testimony. when the arkansas supreme court reviewed it, they fined him $25k and suspended his law license which he later surrendered. he was also sued by dolly kyle but the case was thrown out (i don't think anyone else sued)

and yeah, it was big news, so i'm pretty surprised that anyone has to question if clinton had real accusations or consequences

(edit: took too long to post)

Again, there is a MAJOR difference between rape and sexual harassment. And I called the sexual harassment deplorable.

And I was DIRECTLY responding to someone who said rape. Not changing goalposts.

Who's giving Bill Clinton a pass? The fact is, none of us were old enough to vote for him and even if we had been, none of these accusations were public knowledge at the time. Yeah, Bill Clinton is a sex creep, but he's also a brilliant political mind with a unique ability to explain complex issues in a straightforward way. He's also saved millions of lives through the Clinton Foundation, primarily through bringing down the cost of HIV drugs. Trump, on the other hand, is a racist demagogue with no societal value and an admitted sexual predator who's never shown an ounce of remorse for his actions.

GOP is in full meltdown mode right now.

This is the worst-case scenario I think people were envisioning when Trump started to rise in the polls. Seems like Trump and his sphere of deplorable leaders (breitbart, alt-right, white nationalists) are going 1 direction and rest of GOP the other direction. Neither group large enough to win national election, but giving the deplorables new power locally they didn't have before. Will be interesting to see openly racist neo-nazis winning local elections in the mid-west after this. I wouldn't be surprised to see one in congress in a few years either.

Thanks GOP!

another trump tweet:
Quote :
""Our very weak and ineffective leader, Paul Ryan, had a bad conference call where his members went wild at his disloyalty," Trump wrote in a subsequent post about an hour later."

I remember when Ryan was the darling of the GOP, they begged him to take the position. People hated Boehner and his weakness to obama. Now his favorability is worse than Trump's and Trump is trying to use his mongrel hoard to attack.

This whole Trump-GOP thing could not follow the deal-with-the-Devil template any more closely.

"So, as of our latest count, about 1-in-5 GOP governors, U.S. representatives and U.S. senators have denounced Trump. More than that, obviously, have condemned his behavior on the tape.

So let’s start here: Is there any precedent for this? Does anything come close?
...
I mean, what if we’ve reached a point where the white nationalist coalition is the largest plurality in the GOP?

clare.malone: Right, which is what scares the Ryans of the world.

micah: So it’s the leadership crisis of Watergate and the coalition crisis of …

clare.malone: Umm, mid-19th Century?

julia: Maybe the Democrats c. 1856
...
harry: The main fight for the Republican Party of the future, to me, is between cultural conservatives (Trump) and social conservatives (think Ted Cruz). The fiscal conservatives are a tiny faction. Someone like Ryan is lost, in my opinion.

micah: OK, so let’s talk consequences — short-term, then long-term.

Short-term: Does the wave of GOP candidates condemning Trump affect turnout? Do down-ballot Republicans have time to save themselves?
