I'm leveling an UD rogue (LOL) right now.. hes up to 28. I'm just running Onyxia on my NE druid until I get the stormrage cap.. and I'm the next druid in line to get it. After that it'll probobly be MC until I get 4 or 5 cenarion pieces and then BWL.

Our onyxia kill last night dropped the mage and priest hat grrrr.

personal preference i suppose

the ravager has a % chance on hit that your character will go into a spin for 10 seconds, dealing multiple hits to all nearby enemies.

its good for crowd control

[Edited on September 13, 2005 at 11:01 AM. Reason : but it can also draw aggro to you in parties]

personally i like the whirlwind better because the ravanger doesnt have any specs if i remember right. like no +strength etc. plus i enchanted my whirlwind for +7 dmg or something

is this your first warrior? cuz i thought you were telling me about stuff this summer?
so if not im prob repeating all this stuff but:

go hit up RFD for a nice helm and chestpiece. best for your level for awhile
and then uldaman(sp? hah) for gauntlets

yeah this is my first warrior. Same guy as over the summer. I took a bit of a break. I have a paladin up to 32 and some other alts as well. I def have run RFD, got a good shield from there. I have a rare miners hammer now, forget the name of it.

I am focusing on being a Tank so none of my points have gone into doing more damage. So the better weapon i get, the better.

awesome. well the plate armor in both uldaman and rfd is definitely worth you having as a tank. and for those two weapons...its hard to say. ravager might get you some more aggro..good for a tank. but strength and stamina is good too so i dono. your call. altho both are two handed weapons which i hardly use when tanking so i couldnt tell ya for sure.

the shield in Scarlet Monestary is definitely amazing. its in the cath section

ravenger has an aoe proc, thus it breaks crowd control and doesnt help it.

this is a fucking good call:

Quote :
"Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin will now be level-banded as follows: 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60."

First, it eliminates the gulf in the 31-40 battleground where only level 40's could have a mount and therefore an unfair advantage. But most importantly, it separates all the MC junkies with epic gear from other people in the 50-59 range.

I know it's a BG, but I guess I mean what type of BG is it?

It'll probably be similar to Alterac, in that its more of a constant struggle to capture and hold graveyards than anything else. Except its resource nodes with Arathi

Should be quite fun

Quote :
"rathi Basin, located in Arathi Highlands, is a fast and exciting Battleground. The Basin itself is rich with resources and coveted by both the Horde and the Alliance. The Forsaken Defilers and the League of Arathor have arrived at Arathi Basin to wage war over these natural resources and claim them on behalf of their respective sides.

Style: Occupy resource nodes to accumulate resources.
Location: Eastern Kingdoms (Arathi Highlands)
Limits: Level 21-60 players (level range breakup: 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60)
Maximum players per team: 15 Horde/15 Alliance
Win Conditions: Accumulate 2000 resources

General Info

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Both sides of up to 15 players each compete to occupy the five resource nodes spread throughout Arathi Basin.
Each claimed node generates resources for the owning team. The more nodes your team controls, the quicker you gain natural resources. The first team that gains 2,000 resources wins.
Both the winning and losing team earn honor after completing an Arathi Basin Battleground, as accumulated resources translate directly into bonus honor for players. Even if you don't win the Battleground, you walk away with honor.
As players compete, they will improve their reputation with the Defilers or League of Arathor, thereby earning many new and powerful rewards.
Arathi Basin is banded by level. The minimum level to join is 20, and different instances will spawn for players between levels 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60.

Entering Arathi Basin Battleground

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The two entrances to the Arathi Basin Battleground are located within the Arathi Valley zone. For the Alliance, the entrance is located inside Refuge Point. For the Horde, it is located just north of Hammerfall.
In each entrance there is a guard NPC, a quest giver NPC, and a vendor NPC who can sell you various new items and rewards as your reputation grows. Also, even if your reputation is not yet high enough, the vendor will still display any potential rewards you can earn, to whet your appetite and inspire you to increase your reputation even faster.
Controlling the Five Resource Nodes

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Victory in Arathi Basin goes to the team that can accumulate 2,000 resources first.
Controlling one resource node begins a slow trickle of resources to your side. Seizing additional resource nodes multiplies the flow of resources exponentially.
The five spots up for grabs are the smithy in the middle of the Basin, the stables near the Alliance base, the farm near the Horde base, the gold mine in the northeast of the map, and the lumber mill in the southwest.

Farm

Smithy

Lumber Mill

Gold Mine

Stables

Marking each node is a neutral flag and if a flag is clicked on, the entire Battleground will be notified by message that the node has been captured. In a matter of seconds, your flag will replace the current flag, and a few minutes later, resources will start pouring in.
If you already own a node, the opposing team can still swoop in and steal it. But with five nodes in total, controlling all of them can be a great challenge. In the end, as long as you hold more nodes than the other team, you'll quickly advance to victory.

4 hours in Zul and only killed 3 bosses, i think the instance is way harder than i expected. Granted it was our first run, and second run will probably go a lot smoother, but still, don't expect to accomplish anything in there with a pickup group.

coolest thing about it is the zul gurub sets, you get 3/5 from quests you pick up in an island in west STV. All you have to do is win the rolls for a several random green/blue/purple items that drop off random mobs (pretty often too). weird thing on the set is that some of it is epic, and some blue. the set looks like it sits between tier 1 set and MC set.

Arathi Basin is kinda meh. It may grow on me but at the moment WSG is still more fun and better for honor farming. Zul'Gurub on the other hand is absolutely amazing. The most beautiful instance Blizzard has made so far and has some really cool boss fights. We got the first 4 bosses down and decided to quit for the night after wiping on the 5th a couple times. The loot doesn't look bad at all (especially for blues), although the +% to hit with spells is total garbage, especially since it's been confirmed it doesn't work in pvp. Hopefully we'll kill the last 3 before Hakkar tommorow and at least get a few attempts in on Hakkar before the instance resets (3 day lockout timer).

I like AB because it is an anti-zerg battleground. It forces more 5v5 fights, and requires more skill and teamwork (imo). Plus the tactics part of it is pretty important. Overall its a good time.

I'm looking forward to ZG too. I could have gone tonight, but its too late

1500 honor in 7 minutes isn't bad, either.
