I've heard the NYE party at Dilworth Neighborhood Grille is fun. That's what my group is doing. It is $60 a person, but I would spend that anywhere on NYE in Charlotte.

dunno...its on Fox Sports Net (charlotte cable channel 40) at 7pm...I checked the guide and there are a couple other college bball games in that timeslot, but nobody else in the ACC I dont believe, so probably any bar will be showing it...I dunno where I'm watching it yet...depends on how this server at work restores

Im living in Matthews (used to be University area) and working at South Park

my roommate will be purchasing property somewhere in south or uptown (I'm hoping south as it'd be ridiculous for him to purchase a townhome/condo with what he wants to do and what he needs, but that's jsut IMHO) within the next 6 months.

that's in the plans, but it wouldn't be wise to buy when I'm not sure I'm going to stay in Charlotte for more than 2 years into the future.

If I was planning on staying here past 2008 I'd be looking to buy, but right now it's best to rent from my friend, not be under a lease and be able to move where my career takes me

Plus, not having parents that can pony up the down payment and refusing to buy without one, I got some saving to do

(P.S. - most of my moves were in college, only graduated this past May )

Good suggestion though, I've def thought about it!
