I've only spotted one or two gray hairs on the head, but I'm getting a lot of gray chest hairs (not that hairy, would say average).

Don't mind it one bit. But need to get a girl on lock down before the head hair starts receding!!

When the real probability of divorce reaches 90%.

Goddamn it is a fucked up situation since we have a child.

3-week separation going strong... don't know what the future holds.

I can no longer not drink without it having a more than substantial effect on me the next day. I still haven't gotten to the point where I get drunk and it makes me completely useless the next day (like a lot of my older friends)...but if I have more than 3 or 4 drinks...I'm guaranteed a head-ache/sluggishness/hangover munchies that severely depletes my productivity the next day (don't get as much work done and usually don't go to the gym).

It's quite sad. I use to be able to go out, get shitfaced, get only an adequate amount of sleep, and conquer the world the next day. No mas.

yeah, i was the same way till about 25ish.

the first few years out of college and making money were so badass. work my ass off, party my ass off.

now, i have to plan my drinking as a two day event, because the day after can't require any productivity.

I bought a nice tux to replace the one that I bought from a rental place for around $100 8 years ago.

Also I visited 3 different Williams Sonomas over the weekend. I've almost completed my set of Le Creuset cast iron cookware (all in the "ocean" finish that is sold exclusively at Williams Sonoma).

I woke up to a facebook invite to my 10 year high school reunion.

It cannot have been 10 years already, can it?

^ I got one of those recently as well.

I'll add another one to this thread. This can also qualify as a "you know you're getting lame when..."

Last week I had my first big yard work days of the year (grass goes "dormant" over fall/winter and I wasn't going to start raking leaves til they all fell out of the giant tree in my neighbors yard). Couple days of raking leaves, pulling/spraying weeds, edging, and mowing. My sister was coming into town and seeing my new house for the first time so I wanted it to look nice.

So I had a nightmare the other night and it involved going into my back yard and seeing giant weeds everywhere...they were pretty much the size of small pine tree saplings. I was freaking out. I immediately woke up and was terrified. Great sense of relief as I slowly realized everything was okay.

I'm also excited about mowing my lawn again this weekend.

I don't with holdings for taxes. No matter the fucking interest rates, ITS MY FUCKING REVENUE, AND I WILL BE THE ONE TO EARN INTEREST. I SURE AS HELL WILL NOT LET THE GOVERNMENT MAKE INTEREST, AND THEN "GIVE" IT BACK TO ME--at a fucking loss....

I will do my taxes next weekend, to figure out how big of check to write... (i'm not e-filing shit...)

Just had a pilonidal cyst drained.
Doc said that they appear in people late 20-30's and can return if I don't have it surgically removed.
4'' deep and 1.5'' diameter at my tail bone.
Missed work, caused the wife to miss a day of work.
Never thought about shit like this before.

Ew ew ew. Makes me think of this Seinfeld quote:

Quote :
"The human body is a lot of maintenance. It’s a lot of showering, a lot of shaving, a lot of cleaning, a lot of clipping, a lot of checking. If your body was a car, you wouldn’t buy it. It’s too much upkeep."

were you/are you that sedentary? This very fat guy I knew in school got one that required surgery as well. But all this kid did was eat fritos and play xbox so it was only a matter of time.

I am not sedentary at all. These really have nothing to do with that at all.
It is a cyst that forms at the tail bone. Anyone can get them, but you can be genetically more likely than others.
The way mine is healing up, surgery isn't going to be required in the near future.
Now I just have a pea sized hole beside my tail bone that is healing. I'll still be looking to have it surgically removed, but apparently it is about a 2 week recovery because of location and depth.

You know you are getting older when you start to grow your beard out, and white hairs are in it now.

A relative of mine had that. They didn't know they had that defect. Fell on their ass and it got infected. Very painful

....you are starting to think about moving your parents down to NC because they'll be retiring soon, and
you have conversations with your mother about the best cookware out there (We have cast iron, my mother swears by all ceramic-coated Le Creuset type stuff).

When the sticker in the grocery store that says in order to purchase alcohol you must be born on today's date by the year indicated shows the year you graduated high school.

Not me yet, thankfully. Just that it's up to 1990 now.
