I absolutely HATE Vault 34, but on the flip side it has the biggest pay-off, in terms of loot, than any other vault that i have been into.

i'd say my biggest pet peeve with the game thus far is the inability to climb terrain that looks like it should be climbable... normally the mountains, they put invisible walls up where they deem you can't go so you have to walk way the fuck around to find the way they wanted you to go. if you didn't want me to climb it, don't make it look the exact same as other terrain that IS climbable.

22 has plants and mantisis, 34 has radiation and ghouls. You were putting them together for some reason.

I have come to the conclusion that Jury Rigging is a must have perk unless you are building a straight speech character and don't plan on a lot of combat.

Jury rigging is amazing, but it depends on how expensive your armor is. If you've got expensive power armor fixing it with metal is great. But with just 50 repair you can keep your weapons in perfect shape cheaply with repair kits.

Well I got Veteran Ranger Armor, and Reinforced Metal Armor. Jury Rigging is pretty much a no-brainer, and as I said unless you are building just speech/barter and plan on minimal or very little combat, you will have some expensive armor to repair most likely.

I thought Deathclaw strikes ignores armor as it did in Fallout 3, which is why the the Deathclaw Gauntlet was the best Unarmed weapon in the game.

No, armor is different this time. Deathclaws ignore Damage resistance (which is what armor did in FO3 and med-x still does) but not damage threshold.

depends on how patient you are and how much you can tolerate.. If I play for too long the game will eventually become unplayable as far as frame rate and will freeze before too long. I noticed too that there are certain areas of the game where it will literally take 5 minutes or more to load when going inside or out of a building. Other than that, I didn't get the disappearing companion glitch.. my only problems were constant fear of the game freezing or disc becoming unreadable, thank god for autosave

I have both and the PC version is def better in regards to stability and just mainly having minor annoyances and glitches.

I beat the PC version along the NCR path. Never really had much of a stability issue.

As for deathclaws, I found that simply picking them off at long range with a gauss rifle worked nicely. I popped both the mother and alpha deathclaws with single, sneak head shots at long range.

i made it to level 20 and picked up the explorer perk. HOLY SHIT there are a lot of locations. I've done most of the side missions en route from the beginning town, down, around and up to the strip. I started back on the main quests b/c I got bored dicking around freeside/New Vegas. I'd say I've been to maybe 25 percent of all the locations.

does the level cap at 20 like in FO3? So far I'm at Speech 100, Guns 75, Repair 75, Lockpick 75, and Science 65.

M-4 Alaskan Survival Model derringer, firing 45-70 rounds!

IRL the lower barrel is a bit smaller than the upper so it fires .45 Colt or .410 shotgun, but that's not possible in the game (plus those 2 ammo types don't even exist in game) so it would fire 2 45-70 rounds.

You could conceal it and sneak it into casinos like a silenced pistol, but it would have a strength requirement of 8 or 9.

It's been too long since I played FO3, so I don't really remember how it worked, but one issue I'm having so far is the lack of logging of quests.

I just started, and so far I know some NCP in the saloon gave me a quest to find Regis (or somebody) but I can't seem to find it in my log. I got some other things that I would have thought would be in my log, but so far I don't see much of anything.

I don't know if it's a bug, I just haven't triggered a official quest yet, or if I'm just not looking at the quest log correctly.

Yeah, I've got a few official quests that I can see in the quest log. I just figured some sort of note or quest would log when I spoke to Trudy and she mentioned Ringo. Maybe I need to find him before there's a quest? I'd hate to have to remember all the dialogue or even have to write stuff down as soon as I hear it in fear that nothing will be logged and I'll forget.

Similar story with repairing that robot in Primm. I know I have to do it, but there's no note. I'm sure I'll forget all about it by the time that my repair skill is high enough.

Repairing the robot isn't a quest, you just get it as a companion when you repair it.

You can repair ED-E with parts even if you don't have the repair skill, all you need is 3 scrap metal, 2 sensor modules, and 1 scrap electronics. Half of that stuff is on the counter next to it.

is there any way to get back in good side of the brotherhood of steel? I've been being playing as a diplomat, talking my way out of most situations and convinced that NCR guy to high tail it out of the BOS base area early on. I guess the brotherhood wasn't too pleased about that so they opened fire as soon as i got done talking to the NCR guy. Naturally, I had to return fire. As soon as the first brotherhood went down my status with them went from tolerated to hated.

I guess this is why diplomacy never works.

OMFG, the last hour or so of this Dead Money DLC ruins it entirely. Its really only worth a purchase if you want to level up 5 more times, and have new perks and few new weapons, and strengthen your skills. Otherwise heed this warning.

Yeah you can use the Ranger Takedown in either view, it just uses different animations relative to the view. In 3rd person when you kick it gives the effect of the gloves you are wearing, which is badass as you can see lol. The Legion Assault is funny is 3rd person too. I'll make a video of that after I get a good shot on Veronica with it.
