the mass shootings are motivators, but they're a distraction. The problem is the far greater number of domestic homicides, gang murders, suicides, gun accidents due to parents not properly securing firearms, etc.

One thing i think would actually help a lot with reducing gun deaths is limiting gun purchases for anyone with domestic violence convictions.

Well if Charlotte has taught us anything it's that the eyewitnesses account is completely accurate, so I'd say case closed lock the guy up. The guy stayed at the scene and immediately surrendered his weapon to police when they arrived. That sounds like someone that thought they acted in self defense

one "eyewitness" account had the 54 year old dragging a 200lb NFL athlete out of the car prior to shooting him, which apparently would have happened one handed since the other hand was holding a gun. Another "witness" claimed the shooter was out of the car arguing when he shot him and then stood over him taunting "I told you don't fuck with me".

Meanwhile, the sheriffs office is saying the guy fired his gun from inside the car at McKnight, who was outside of his.

The guy got shot in between the cars, with the shooter being in the left side car. Unless the NFL player busted out his passenger side window, I dont know how he can claim he feared he was being carjacked or threatened. Rolling down your window to shoot the guy would seem like grounds for charges.

I think it's funny that to do my job I have to have two 4 hour classes a year on forms, practices, and how to advise people. To carry a concealed gun wherever I want for life its one class that is good forever.
