Im pretty sure sidney lowe didn't have any control over his team finishing 1-14 from the field all of which were wide open shots, 2 on 1's etc. if you listened to Scott Wood in the post conference he told everyone that we didn't get in the space sidney set up for the players, we didn't do anything that he asked of the team and he said if we had been in the positions set up by the coach this wouldn't be happening and he can't understand why it keeps happening.

So Lowe keeps telling the players to do something specific, and they keep not doing it..

Yank them all out of the game. Put in Enrico Kufour (sp?) and the other walkons/people who don't normally play, maybe leave Josh Davis in because he hustles, and see if they can do what he wants done.

Lowe is the coach. He needs to send the message that you either do things his way or you sit on the bench during the game and run suicides during practice.

^it's always just to bring in more of the same players who regularly play. If it's the people with playtime and experience who can't get it right here at the end of the season, let's at least see if some of the players who rarely played can execute it.

Also, Lowe needs to get a technical. He lets the refs push us around way too much. If he doesn't get at least 2 a year then he's being too quiet.

The difference between the 1st and 2nd halves last night was that people were hitting open shots. We were getting open shots in the second half we just WEREN'T hitting them. If you are not getting good shots that is a coaching issue. If you can't hit your shots I think that is more a product of personnel.

Eh, it's not that cut and dry. I mean, it's kinda on Sid to keep the team focused, have the stamina/confidence to play through droughts. But that's also on the players, and as just an observer of the games (as most of us are), there's no way to know how much of each it is.


And our guards have been playing terrible. I'm pretty sure that's more on the guards. But we've been through that.

We did not have that many open shots in the 2nd half. I don't know what game you were watching. Everything was difficult. Maryland adjusted and we didn't.

Wow, just looked at his ACC stats, and i gotta call you out on this. In 17 mins last night, he was 1-8 and had 1 assist. In ACC play, he's averaging 17 mins, 4 pts, 1 assist, and 1 rebound. He's only turning the ball over once per game, but he's not scoring, creating, or defending. I'm still confident he's going to be a team leader and solid back-up...

...unfortunately, javi went 0-5 with only 2 assists, and even with a few great games, he's averaging 9 points, just under 3 assists, and almost 3.5 TOs in conference play. We won't win games with our guards producing like that.


I'm not throwing guys under the bus, i'm just citing stats.

i cant speak for everyone else, but as one of the ones who bitches for sid benching people, i dont bitch when be benches dogs. i frequently, however, bitched last year when costner would score 12 of our first 16 and sid would take him out 8 min into the half for a "breather" and he wouldnt go back in until 2 min to go as we got farther and farther behind. surprisingly, he didnt play as well when he came back in. weird. wonder what that is about. must be b/c he (costner) is so lazy.

Why the fuck is May getting playing time? Except at the free throw line, I would play myself over him. Javi played one of his worst of the season and still hurt us less than Mays. Left out of this box score is seeing Mays make his only 3, a desperation basket with like a minute left that toilet bowled in after he missed from the same spot and was passed to after an offensive rebound. We should start a senior gift to pay Mays not to play. On a related note I gave up on the rally about 5 minutes into the UNC game in Chapel Hill. This team is better than it is playing, but it's still playing like shit; I attribute that to coaching. Also where the fuck are the retards above getting stats? NM maybe ESPN is more biased than I though...
