I actually have a level 60 warrior that I've sat there playing for less than 10 hours.

I think I enjoyed botting more than leveling my rogue up to 60. You still get to have those moments of 'yay I just leveled' except you didn't put in the 10 hours of grinding required to get there. In my book that's definitely a win. Some people enjoy the leveling aspect of the game, others enjoy trying to get all the 'phatest lewts' and some (like me, Quinn, and Stein) enjoy coming home from class or waking up to a new level.

I really don't get why they hate botting so much. It's not like an exploit that lets you dupe items so you can make a billion gold from duping epics and then selling the gold on IGE or ebay. You can't really bot with any sort of effectiveness unless you've played the game enough to know a lot about it. Some people would like to try out different classes once they hit 60 with their main and don't feel like starting all the way over. That's where I was. I really wish I could have continued botting my other characters. Because the Warden got so good I've cancelled my account and won't be playing after it expires late November (I was paying 3 months at a time). I might come back for the expansion but I don't know...

Once you hit 60 with one character 1-60 with another character just isn't fun. No matter how many people say it's cheating this is a game. You play it to have fun. I wanted to try and make the game fun again for me. It worked while it lasted. But I'm not spending countless days on another character. People that bitch about botting aren't mad becuase it's unfair, they bitch becuase they weren't smart enough to do it themselves and wasted 20 days in game to get to level 60 while the other person only spent 10 hours.

^Your reasoning doesn't make any sense. Using your logic you should be able to understand 1-58 because there is not a damn thing you would get between level 1 and level 58 that you would keep at level 60. (I'm not including trinkets in that because you can always go back and run a small group through ZF for the carrot.) The time from 1-50 is much longer than the time from 50-60 and 1-50 sucks so much more. Your character is essentially gimped because he/she doesn't have all the skills and talents to use.

I'd love for there to be an option where you could create a character at level 60 that starts with all the skills but the same gear as a level one. Then your challenge is to go around owning low level stuff to make money to buy stuff that is decent enough for you to kill higher level stuff, rinse and repeat. That to me would be more fun than leveling another character.



With the time I have left I've been doing battlegrounds trying to get high enough rank for some decent gear but it's going to take forever on my shitty server (Mal'Ganis).

There used to be an exploit where you could use this add-on that lets you make a macro to switch weapons and make it switch to a sword and then ambush or backstab. Ambush and backstab are dagger only skills because of the damage they do. I made a macro to switch from my barman shanker (95 max damage 2.00 speed) to my krol blade (149 max damage 2.80 speed) and then ambush. The weapon swap would happen so fast that the ambush would go through before the weapons switch and so you'd ambush with a weapon with a damage range MUCH higher than intended. The highest ambush I've had to date without using that was 1800 on a naked warlock (he was asking for it). This doesn't work anymore because the check for dagger in hand for dagger only skills was updated. It was pretty funny though. That screenshot is from a lvl 60 mage with full health. I also hit a lvl 8 boar for 2200 once, but I didn't bother with a screenshot.

cuz ive definitely seen other classes crit for a heck of a lot more. mages on my server pyroblasting for close to 4k and warrior executes approaching 7k.

my only rogue is level 9 tho so i am not sure of what kind of crits a rogue is capable off. but that seems pretty nice since the rogue attacks are some of the fastest inthe game im sure that accounts for some great dps

I have MULTIPLE characters, none 60 yet, and leveling each is quite fun, because each is different. It may not be fun to you because you have the attention span of a fucking nat.

People that use bots are the ones that arent smart and blizzard should be laughing all the way to the bank. Youre paying 50(15/mo) to let two programs run on your computer. Sucking all of the fun out of the game. How fucking retarded are you?

The funny thing is, everyone I know that botted either got a warning or banned.

The fact of the matter is that even watching your character level itself gets boring as fuck after a while. I'd actually gotten tired of it by the time they started with all the heavy Warden client stuff.

The thing is, botting (while obviously cheating, not that I really care) is far more beneficial to casual gamers. I have no interest in spending 30 minutes hiking across the world to turn in a quest just to get 10 experience. The levels come slowly (with the exception of certain gaps) and then once you hit level 60 in order to get really good gear, you're committing yourself to hours of instances where you're competing with god knows how many other members of your class and using a complicated point system that's being implemented by a group of people who can barely handle 2 + 2.

So instead, after about 14 days I get a nice shiny level 60 with shitty gear (we're talking epicly shitty) and a decent amount of money. I can go and buy some better gear, then start getting into Battlegrounds which are really the only fun part of WoW to begin with and earn shit for me based on my own work, rather than having to find 39 other competent players and then maybe, maybe I'd get a piece of gear.

It doesnt matter that i dont have a 60. I have multiple characters that have been through the same level and i havent gotten bored with it. Thats your whole point right? Doing levels over again gets boring? Play a different line of quests, get more of the story.

It only gets monotonous if you just grind or have some retarded mindset that you can only have fun with the game if youre 60 and have all of teh ub4r lewt.
