The loss to BC this year is the one that really put him on the hot seat. Beating UNC cancelled that out though. I will say that other than the Louisville game we were at least competitive and should have beat Clemson. It sucks to say we should have won X many more games though knowing that a lot of the reason we didnt has to do with the coaching decisions in those games.

Losing to Ecu and bc were terrible losses, but pretending we weren't a makeable field goal and a dropped interception in the end zone from having wins over top 5 and 15 teams is asinine.


If we're 8-4 we're bitching about inconsistency not about being awful, and inconsistency and "playing up" have been a hallmark of NCSU athletics for 20+ years

This seems extremely reasonable. I always felt like Doeren wanted too much say into the offense when he needed to spend more time on D. Felt like he was fixated on having a balanced offense with a mobile QB, so Canada had to work with that format.

I just never got the impression Canada wanted Brissett or McClendon for his offense but Doeren wanted a mobile QB. The offense you saw this year at Pitt was the offense he wanted to run here, and stinks that we weren't able to see it.

He's going to have success at LSU, they've always had talent but haven't had any creativity on offense in a while.

He was surprisingly articulate and knowledgeable on the coaches show. I expected him to sit there like a bump on a log for the whole thing but he actually showed a personality. He also managed to call what seemed like half of Clemson's plays.
