so

i randomly found this new show, and dvr'd it last night

i bet you

its esfandari and laak basically walking around betting on anything and everything.

its the total degenerate gambler's plethora of bets

like, wakling into a titty bar, and teaching two strippers how to play poker, in under 30 minutes

have them play a best of 5 heads up game, of strip poker.. loser of each game drops an item.

for $3000 to the winning teacher

or trying to thumb a ride on the vegas strip, for $500...

none to the guy picking them up, just to be able to do it

shit like that

yeah that show is pretty solid. you can go to mojohd.com and watch the complete first episode. i think it's a little better than the second one, one of the bets has laak and antonio drinking to see who can blow closer to .08 on the breathalizer. pretty funny

I just played a $2.00 + .20, 10 person sit-n-go.

I won it, but I only got $6 for it, and the second place guy got $5. I think those were the only two places that paid out. I don't get it at all.

**Never mind, the payout was $6, $5, $4, $3, $2.

hand 1

i like your raise

in 6 handed lhe, it's really just a pfr of like 40% and just keep betting

seems to work right?

steel144: calls $5 ~~~~ in a short lhe game, limping should never, ever occur.

noidroid: raises $5 to $10

BadBoyKillla: calls $5 weak fold or RR (BB play durka dur)

*** FLOP *** [Ah 7h 7d]

BadBoyKillla: bets $5 thumbs up

noidroid: raises $5 to $10 heehaw =]

his check call down is standard however.

hand 2

gobblinfever should be on your buddy list.

no rr pre

float the flop with queen high and nothing really working

not bet when you make your miracle card.

just check call and piss away money.

hand 3

saywhat_agan: solid.

What are good stats for limit? I'm like 25/20/2.5 in 500 total hands of 5/10 and 3/6. I go to showdown almost 40% of the time, too many A-high calldowns I think.

like 33/29/4

you gotta get wide open

you'll never have wilder swings than 6m lhe.

that whole 300 bb br thing for lhe can just go out the window

when i was doing 6m, i used a 600bb rule, many advocate for higher.

for the record i am under the opinion that trying to learn 6m lhe totally destroyed me as a poker player and turned me into an action junkie. for serious

I would not put him on AQ of diamonds because he is actually holding the Q of diamonds. As it turns out, the deck only has one.

And of course the play here is call. The only hand that you're behind by more than 55-45 is a set, so unless he reraised you with 10-10 and hit a set, you're good. And even then he's only like 70-30. Why would you even play Q10 if you'd consider folding it after this flop? I guess if you expect every flop to be either QQ10 or AKJ.

It sucks that you lost, but that's not the issue. You were only like a 53-46 dog, and after the inital amount you had invested, it was in your best interest to call.

If you've never had pot odds explained to you, it's like this (if you have, don't take offense).

There is initially $8.05 in the pot. You're chances of winning are 45.8%. Your chances of losing are 53.0%.

So put those numbers into this formula:

INITIAL POT SIZE + AMOUNT TO CALL(WIN % - LOSE %)

As long as that number comes up positive, you have the odds to call.

Also this calculation assumes no rake. You'd have to factor that in if there is a rake.
