Aside from prenatals, Biotin will also make your nails and hair grow stronger

Fun fact: The nails/hair growing faster part happens when your pregnant. Due to hormones it grows faster and you won't lose your hair making it thicker; however your nails, while growing faster, will be more brittle. But once baby is born your hair will appear to fall out faster...it's just due to change in hormones and is really all the hair that didn't normally fall out while pregnant.

I'm prepared for a mass exodus of hair in the next few months

I just found out when I tried to donate blood. Gotta make an appointment to figure out which kind I have.

But I'm super fatigued these days after doing simple things, and I haven't done anything out of the ordinary diet/exercise wise. If anything I've gotten out more to do activity.

yea well being anemic when donating blood isn't that uncommon. it happens to a lot of women who don't have any serious anemic issues. but if you are feeling tired all the time, then something is probs up.

get that shit checked!

i got a vitamin D and vitamin b12 injection the first time i found out about my deficiencies and it made a HUGE difference. then i just started on the b12 and iron supplements (i just get the kind from whole foods or whatever). then my health insurance stopped covering it (the shots) so blah. but i'm just gonna see how much it'll be out of pocket cause they really help. and because i'm still bruising and feeling tired even when i'm taking the supplements.

i need to start taking a good multi-vitamin. i currently take 1000mg of Vitamin D and CLA.

anyone recommend a brand they like? i used to take multi-vitamins when i was younger but they would make me nauseous and/or upset my stomach.

A++ to Joie for taking folic acid before getting pregnant

Taking it at least 3 months before conception lowers your risk of neural tube defects by 70%

seamless underwear? i used to wear that in HS when i didn't like thongs.

then i discovered hanky pankys!!! thongs are not my preferred underwear of choice and i only wear them when necessity requires, but when i do, i only wear hanky panky now. they are way comfortable (if comfort was your issue)

but as far as VS is concerned, i think they make seamless panties you could maybe try? they are kinda like spanx they smooth you or whatever.

^^^ Why don't you like thongs? Uncomfortable? Or just not not a fan of the look?

Look for seamless panties of any kind.

I thought I was the only one! I will buy the men's multi because the iron interferes with the absorption of almost everything else and I've never been anemic on any of my many blood tests. I've even had my ferritin checked twice because the docs couldn't believe there was a tired female in their office that wasn't anemic.

For b12, methlycobalamin that dissolves under the tounge is the way to go.

Joie, I think I was low on A and started taking cod liver oil. It has lots of D too. Do you get to learn about that kind of stuff in Pharmacy school? I couldn't do it, I'd want to learn about the active forms of vitamins and hormones and shit because they'll always come out with new drugs, so whatever.

Man today I am super duper tired. It's getting ridiculous.

I think little sleep last night + being in the sun all weekend + being physically exhausted + hypersomnia is overriding all my meds

oops! You all had me looking at panties online (I'm trying to track down these perfect thongs I found, I thought they were Hanes.) Anyways, someone stepped behind my computer and saw I was looking at women's panties... slightly NSFW

Yeah, seamless is typically synthetic. In that case, your best bet is to find a pair of cottons that fits you REALLY, REALLY well ... just a perfect fit ... and with very low-profile seams.

I don't have the hip-huggers ... I wear lace or mesh VS cheekies almost exclusively. It's hard to find a good pair that's not synthetic, but mesh is nice bc it still lets everything breathe. For a while Old Navy had great lace/mesh cheekies. But cheekies may not work for you bc you may have a line across the booty.

Or, you can just go commando.

I've found that if I don't wear Hanky Pankys then I need something that has more coverage on the ass area so I don't get a line.

The hip huggers are great, but a lot of them cut my chunky cheeks in half

If you've got a booty and don't want VPLs, then avoid boy cut and cheeky styles, which will cut across the cheek. Instead, opt for the bikini cut.

Nerdchick, I don't really like thongs and only wear them if I'm wearing a skintight dress or skintight pants. For me, cheekies are great. They won't show under jeans or an A-line and they're pretty hot, yet still a bit on the conservative side, hence why I like them. Guys love them, but they're super comfy. Win-win.

All I have are cheekies and thongs. But I wear my cheekies more than anything. I found a whole collection at Target this spring with lace all around the edges and two large strips of lace running down the front on the right and left. I got a pair in each color and pattern. They are so comfortable and dont show panty lines

These are my splurge, like hanky panky (but I only buy them on sale with my friend's discount at Saks lol)

They're from OnGossamer and they're mesh. I swear by these things! I wear them on period days with my dress pants and you can't see lines. They're so thin I forget I have them on.

I'm wearing the thong version today...and they're super comfy!

^ lol I found it in the clearance section, it probably is pretty old! I thought it was familiar.

I found this super cute halter on Modcloth. I think I won't get the bottom, I get nervous that the high waist/low leg makes both your torso and legs look shorter!

OK ... now I'm thinking just go with a 1-piece. for safety reasons (don't want anything to come undone during the tourney), easier to put sunscreen everywhere, and I'm also a little modest. I've never even worn a bikini!!

at the last tourney I went to I won "best swimsuit" for this sushi suit. so now I have to do even better! check out these fun ones. Any advice?? sorry to post so many!!!

thanks for the votes!! so it's definitely a toss up between Wonder Woman and the tux. I'll decide later!!

re: exfoliating - I just use a nice hot wash cloth and scrub hard. opens your pores, feels great, and doesn't scrub too much like exfoliants sometimes do
