oh, I forgot to mention I helped a guy with a printer at work the other day, he buys it, and goes out and loads it into his brand-new yellow Maserati Spyder.

^Damn, I would be like, "Let me load that for you sir."

Didn't see any exotics today, but about anyone with a classic or muscle car had it out and about around here today (NC foothills and mountains). Seen at least 12-20 of them today.

saw my neighbor's F40 yesterday, but it rarely leaves the garage. I think it's one of the coolest looking cars ever made.

When i was workin in Omega sports on old wake forest, guy walked in lookin for some stuff, I was helpin him out when i caught the gilmpse of a yellow car with brake vents. It was a quick look so i thought i saw a supra, till i looked closer and saw it was a 360 modena, jokeingly i said to the guy i was helping, that wouldn't happen to be yours. his reply "that yellow thing?" The guy just happend to be the owner of the amway diamond division. We started talkin about cars, and he handed the keys to me and said go sit in it. Pretty damn nice, lookin over your sholder and seeing a ferrari v-8 6 inches from your head. Anyways if you happen to see a yellow 360 with a UNC sticker on the back windsheild, thats the one.

A Ford GT pulled next to me at a traffic stop. Damn that thing is outrageous.

Saw a Maybach the other day.

And a Vanquish another day.

Have seen lots of S/CL 600s, and E/SL 55 AMGs lately.

Cayennes and Continental GTs are a dime a dozen in the city I am in.

Saw an SLR parked by the road side with blinkers on. The guy had gone to get food from a street-front cheap grocery store or restaurant

I'd hardly call a Cayenne an exotic. I wouldn't consider any run-of-the-mill Porsche an exotic.

What defines an exotic?

A 911 is a "run-of-the-mill" porsche, but it is still an exotic in my opinion, because, I mean, how many have been made, and how many do you see?

It is all about the exclusivity.

And if you really want to talk about exclusive, then consider the Cayenne Turbo.

Mirroring the uptown charlotte comment:

Between working in uptown and living at an apt. complex where it's a rare weekend that you don't see a Maybach or Continental GT outside, exotic is something that any fool with money can't just go and order.

In the last year, the cars that have stood out the most are the couple of perfectly restored Jag E-Type's, old Merc 190 and 280 SL's, original mini's, Rolls Silver Cloud's, even a perfect original 240Z.

Among new cars, the new Rolls is comparitively rare, as is the Gallardo, surprisingly given the number of Ferrari 360/355/575's that have shown up.

did some "spirited" driving with a 911 cabrio Turbo S on 85/40 coming back from greensboro on saturday.. they guy was more than willing to gun it frequently.. but not willing to run hard by himself .. kept letting me catch back up and then he'd ride along behind me.. fucking coward.. he had the radar detector and wasnt even willing to lead.. but then again he seriously walked my as multiple times so i guess he can do what he wants.. looked like a poser though..

I'd never seen a 2005 Lotus Elise until my first Autocross with the East Tennessee region SCCA, and there were two! And this is at a 60 car event. Awesome little car. Both drivers were wearing collared shirts with the collar popped at the event, go figure. I have to admit though, I was annoyed when they gridded me right next to one of them, made my S2000 look boring.

I saw Bob Rapp's new F430 at church a couple of weeks ago.... he keeps it parked beside his Enzo at home (must be nice).

Yes... that is the key in the unlocked car, and he was in church... yeah, i thought about it.

I passed this car on North Elm in Greensboro two days before i took these pictures... needless to say i needed a shower after it went by

that guy deserves to have his car taken for a joy ride. you know he left the keys in there on purpose. why in the hell would you leave your keys in your brand new unlocked ferrari?

THAT IS SO FUCKING PIMP!!

Guy at work just bought a Ferrari Maranello. Sucker sticks out like a sore thumb next to all the Camrys, Jettas, and SUVs in the parking lot.

Another F40 seen just outside of Manhattan yesterday. Hot car, but it had NY tags, why drive something like that in some of the worst traffic, on some of the worst roads? I'd be pimping a new Range Rover or something, or an M5, or something but... At least I got to check it out in that nice 3 hour traffic jam...
