Ed Harris looks creepy as hell with the glass eye look...I wasnt too interested originally but the more I see of it the more I want to see it. Besides, everything Ed Harris is in is good (except Needful Things of course).

when i went in i was thinking something along the lines of the long kiss goodnight, and i just wasnt expecting the extremes in the sex and violence.

i saw this movie, it was different than what i was expecting, but i kind of liked that. very graphic, but still pretty kick ass. Maria Bello is smokin', so that made the whole movie better. Not much backstory, left a lot to the imagination. worth seeing IMO.

Do not be duped by the trailer. It's definately suspenseful and has potential, but there was not enough background story to it. And the sex is damn near porno.

i saw it, like others said i was caught off gaurd by how graphic the violence and sex was, it just seemed to try to go overboard

and the preview doesn't really give you that great of an idea to expect that:

it was different, but the sex scenes weren't what you guys made them out to be... they were extreme in a sense of violent sex, but as far as graphic nudity, it didn't really have any of that. I agree though, it doesn't have much of a backstory and if the director wanted to be like everyone else, he wouldn't have made it as discrete. maybe that was his objective, to be wierd and different. either way, if you watch it with some friends or something, you will all be sitting around saying "damn" to eachother after some of the shit he does to the bad guys. I give it a 4 out of 5...

the sex scenes were very extreme compared to most movies, just because it wasnt graphic nudity, that doesnt mean they didnt go to extremes that i dont think i've ever seen in any other R movie, like when hes going down on her, i was just thinking, ok, they're gonna cut any second now, but no, just kept showing it

I gotta give the movie respect for trying something different, just for that I respect it more than any average flick, but it failed. As I told my friends as we were coming out of the theater, that movie was just... inappropriate.

The tone, it just goes all over the place. One scene the kid is dealing with a jock bully, in another he's ... well, I won't spoil it, but it's like 2 or 3 different movies. That, and the second sex scene (the first left me uneasy, the second was just wrong), and other stuff.

And the pacing is terrible.

the best part of this movie was watching the "Brokeback Mountain" preview and laughing hysterically at it (causing all 10 of the other moviegoers to start laughing at it, too)

I saw this movie last week and completly loved it. I actually didn't expect much from it, the reviews on this movie did not prepare me for the story. I don't recall ever going to see a film with such low expectations. I though Richie was by far the best character ever he was hilarious. Best line on this movie "How do You! Fucked that up!?" his face was priceless.

PEEPLE - this was a bad movie! it was slow, the sex scenes were long and boring, the editing was awful with long periods of awkward silence, and it was not very violent (although there were two closeups of fucked up grill pieces).
