Ladies and gentlemen of The Garage, I present to you, the one and only Zombie van...

Trust me. I don't take you for a blithering idiot, and neither will anyone else when they see you driving this fully developed zombie removal assault van. You're probably thinking to yourself, "Zombies? We don't have a zombie problem." True, but scientists the world over are running wild with research in bio-warfare, advanced medicine, and ionic hairdryers. It is only a matter of weeks before it will start! ...and by 'it' I of course mean the start of a genetic alteration even God himself cannot prevent, nor will his divine thrown over the living and dead be able to control. The LIVING DEAD will rise and feast for our brains! It will start as a news blip from some bumfuck town you've never heard of. A blip you'll hear with your ears and see with your eyes, but you will carelessly toss from your mind as easily as you have forgotten that high fructose corn syrup is making you fat. But ever so soon, the news will turn from blips to a constant siren of horrible stories about a monstrous disease spreading across this great land. By then, it will be too late for most of us. Hoards, once in the hundreds, but now in the millions, will stampede their disease induced flesh rampage onto every street and backyard around the world. Clawing and stomping, tearing and biting, they will bring an end to humanity as we know it, except for the lucky few people who manage to escape in this van!

It will be these few that will lead a battle, using this van as their bladed chariot, that will give hope to the future of the human race. This van will be the salvation of everything we know and love. It will be the centerpiece of stories told by our children's children for years to come. But for now, it's taking up space in my driveway and I could use some extra cash for a motorcycle.

The van is a 1978 GMC Gypsy Vandura. It has a 292 cu. in. Goodwrench straight six that was installed in the late 80's. The motor has about 20K miles on it and the rest of the rig has about 130K miles. The two previous owners before me were father and son, and drove it very little. They used it as a work van. Since buying it, I've installed an interior and all the zombie gear. The paint is solid, but is very crappily done (i.e. good polyurethane paint/primer but was hand brushed on?). Here's the breakdown:

Good:

-Reads " NC CDC - US Department of Zombie Removal" on each side of the van.

-Solid motor with a holley fuel controller (carb was replaced with an injector)

-New alternator (100 miles on it)

-Fresh brake job (turned rotors/drums, new pads, repacked wheel bearings) (20 miles ago)

-New Brake master cylinder

-New tires front, Long life huge tires rear (bfg all terrain T/A 31X9.5)

-I have two spare rims for another set of large tires if you want to make matching sets

-New water pump gaskets/thermo gaskets, new thermostat

-New fuel pump, fuel filter/charcoal canister, water remover

-New battery

-heat works great

-new CD/MP3 player with external ipod/mp3 player input

-600W MTX amp with 12" subwoofer (i have a spare sub to throw in as well)

-New pioneer two way speakers (4 of them and they are LOUD)

-New Roof mounted fog lamps (Yellow)

-Barbed wire, gas can, camouflage pop tent stored on roof

-Interior upgrades including nice pegasus and unicorn paintings, wood paneling, and a bench seat that folds into a bed with storage.

-Side mount cherry bomb exhaust!

-New Shocks all around to Gildan heavy duty, and new sway bushings.

-new rear roof pop vent and luxary head liner.

-New cb radio with really really loud 25w external PA system.

Bad:

-The power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose leaks a bit. I've just been topping off the reservoir every so often since I've owned it and haven't felt compelled to fix it.

- A/C has been bypassed and I'm not sure if it is fixable.

- The paint looks authentically post apocalyptic, but no major rusting (small 2" section at the unseen lower hem of the passenger door has been grinded and primered ). Peach auto is having a $199 repaint special. If the buyer would like, I'll go halves and do all the prep work to get the van repainted there.

-Other people will be jealous of your safety and preparedness.

I have the title and am interested in offers, but trust me, low balling will only leave skin on the concrete, and will not get you my van...$2000 (no trades for your tractor, your equally silly vehicle, or tickets to local sporting events).

^ Seen it in person quite a few times. Never looked at it up close, but the seller makes the paint sound worse than I've noticed it to be. Looks better in person than the low resolution CL pics will show. It's a solid 10'er for sure.

i have a 1950 ford resto mod on a ford thunderbird frame.nick name ( thunder chicken ).the motor has been rebuilt and has less than 5000 miles on it.it is a v 6 fuel injected.it gets outrageous gas mileage.around 25 to 30 miles per gallon. if you are looking for a cheap driver or cruize-in car or even a show car then this is the car for you.it is a head turner because it is something different.not to many people have seen these cars before.the price i am asking for is pretty reasonable due to you can't build one for this price.$ 9500.00 cash only.no checks or money orders of any kind.pickup in person.if you are interested please contact CARL at 252-492-7598 please leave message if no answer.no tire kickers or bs'rs.NO TRADES.

Heaven help us all...I've found their website:

To their credit, the convertibles do look pretty hot:

Fiberglass body panels, $3500 for the tbird, $5 grand for the camaro. 50 hours to install. I'm not going to lie, I'd rock that red convertible. But by the time he had everything chrome dipped and painted he could have probably actually have restored a car.

Yeah, but an old car that has been restored would never have the ride, handling, power, and amenities associated with the tenth generation Thunderbird.

The manufacturers website where I got it from says it's a camaro. Looks good. The attention to detail can make even a kit car look great. Toss an LS in there and you've got a fine ride.

There was a Harley 1200 on there this morning for $1500...already gone.

VW Golf TDI - it has 104k miles (mostly highway). New fuel filter. I change the oil every 5k miles (on diesel its every 10k), just replaced the brakes. It has a carbon fiber hood, tinted tail lights, twin halo black housing headlights and tinted windows (can remove). I also have the stock hood. the windsheild does have a crack, and it has minor dents. interior tan and in great condition

I'm fully aware of that, however if you look at the previous page guys in here were pumping a 99 2.5RS for the same price that had 100k more miles and blown head gaskets. Auto might not be a bad idea for RallyX; especially for a beginner.

Corvette Station Wagon. I've read about these, they were just prototypes I think, unless someone made a kit I don't know about.

"2002 Focus – good reliable first car - $2000 (Cape Girardeau)

Looking for a first car for a teen? This car is absolutely brilliant. It’s got low mileage (68k), has been super reliable, and is excellent on gas. Since you’re likely paying for the gas, this will make things much cheaper on you. I average like 37MPG to a tank. And with such low mileage, it’ll work great for a long long time.

But you wanna know the best reason to buy this car for your kid?

It’s slow as shit. You don’t have to worry about speeding tickets or accidents in this baby. Your kid could have a 1 mile run and hit a brick wall not wearing a seatbelt and not be going fast enough to do shit. And there won’t be any sense in him getting some shitty ass fart can off of eBay – this car has the super slow SPI engine, no sense in trying to make it any faster. It’s a 4-door, so your kid won’t try to put gay ass Lambo doors on it. It is still possible to fit this with a body kit, but if you’d like, for an extra $200, I can stab him in the face if he does this.

It’s a 5-speed, so your kid can’t talk on his cell phone while playing Gameboy and smoking pot – he’ll have to actually pay attention. It also means you won’t have to pay for an automatic transmission when your kid beats the hell out of it. It’s got a new clutch and new tires, so you’ll know if he does burnouts. After all, I’m sure YOU’RE the one paying for tires, right? It’s got an aftermarket head unit in it, so your kid won’t fuck it up when him and his buddies try to wire in a “phat ass system”. It’s already had the speakers replaced too, so he won’t have to tear the door cards on and then look like a retard when he can’t get them back on. It’s got manual windows too, so he can’t fuck up the window motors when he rolls one of his friends heads up in it as a joke. A new battery means when he leaves his headlights on, it won’t leave you totally stranded.

But really though, one of the best parts is that, because it is a 4 door, it will be somewhat embarrassing for him to be seen in. I’m sure you get pissed at him from time to time. Hell, you’re probably mad at him for harassing you into buying him a first car. So get this one. It has no A/C, so you’ll know he’s suffering every time you get mad at him. Pretty satisfying. It’ll bring a smile to your face too, to know he’s rolling around looking like a faggot in a Ford Focus.

So buy this car for your kid. You won’t regret it

FS: 1985 Porsche 944 Track Car - $3000 (cary, nc)
Up for sale is my 944, I have owned it since 96 and drove it almost daily until 3 yrs ago when I turned it in to a track car.

Specs:
- ~ 147k
-Koni red shock all 4 corners
- Weltmiester front race springs
- 944 turbo front sway bay
- Weltmiester throttle cam
- welded in roll bar
- Corbeau race seats x2
- G-force 5 pt harnesses x2
- Porsche 968 16 x8/9 OEM wheels w/ Yoko R compounds
- 2.5" exh w 2.5" hi-flow cat
- airbox delete w/short ram cone filter

When I made the swap to a track car did the following:
- new control arms
- new sway bar bushings
- new front rotors
- new pads all around
- rebuilt front and rear calipers
- H4 euro-spec headlights
- Upgraded Bosch euro-spec foglights

Before I bought it, and 20K miles ago, it had Timing belt and Oil cooler seals done. Since I have had it the only mech failure was an alt, which I had rebuilt 5yrs ago. Had a semi decent respray 6yrs ago of factory color, which is Mahogany ie, brown.

Extras that come with it:
- stock seats and other int bits, everything I removed for track
- extra DME (engine computer)
- stock air box assembly w/K&N filter
-extra fuel rail and set of injectors

The only reason I am selling it, is I just bought a 86 944 turbo

^ I talked to him today on the phone... I seriously considered it myself. He says there's nothing wrong with it mechanically. The interior is what you would expect for a 25 year old car that's been turned into a track car (typical dash cracks, etc...) AC works, mechanically sound and needs nothing... Street legal and fit for track days. It's a really good entry level price for someone looking into auto-x, DE, or even spec racing events...
