Saw a red F430 on I-95, in either SC or GA on the way to Tampa last weekend.

I'm not a car person, but I saw something quite fancy on I-40W the other day. Looked like a Lamborghini (probably was), silver/metallic, with a giant spoiler. I mean, this was a big spoiler.

"I feel sorry for whoever ends up buying this car. I wouldn't be surprised if the clutch and/or synchros were gone before the guy even makes it home. Stop lights were generally 1 of 2 sounds.

1) BIG rev, medium rev, sound of motor about to stall, take off and run to redline OR
2) VERY long BIG rev that doesn't change in pitch/intensity while the car is accelerating.

He also enjoyed running in what sounded like 4th and felt the need to downshift and rev it up everytime I got beside him. Guess a 4 door Si is a really impressive car to a non-driving twat."

In regards to the F355 driver, he must be a fucking horrible driver . The only Ferrari I've ever driven was actually the same as that car, a black 355 Spider with a 6 speed. When I drove it I only had about 50 miles worth of experience with a manual transmission car, and while I did stall out twice other than that it was cake and the driving experience (and exhaust note )was pure heaven. (this was back in 1998, the car only had 85 miles on it )

F355 is definitely one of my favorite designs.

Anyways...

Saw a Yellow Porsche (997) GT2 on I-278 in Hilton Head Saturday, and a little later a red F430 Spider on a car transport on I-95.

pretty big deal for fayette-nam. it's the first one i've seen in person too. saw the new camaro last week, but that's pretty much run-of-the-mill. my boy saw two different black gtr's in raleighwood yesterday too. sorry about only getting a pic of the ass end. i was staring too long, and forgot about taking one until it was almost too late.

^5 yeah, he truly sucked. At the first light, I thought he was just having fun revving it up. The more lights we hit though, the more I realized that he just couldn't drive worth a damn.

^idk how you could drive a car that doesn't have a clutch pedal poorly, but good stuff either way.

^^ I'm not sure but what does that have to do with the Ferrari I saw? His clutch pedal was to the left of the brake pedal like in the majority of F355s sold in the U.S. F1 transmission was just an OPTION.

Slightly bigger deal to see in Fayetteville than a GTR. I've seen 5 or 6 of them around town already anyway. Also saw a R32 last weekend, but I didn't have time to take a photo.

iPhone camera sucks btw.

Sure it wasn't just a Ford GT? I doubt you saw a multi-million dollar car that rare.

Red 308 GTS on I-40 about an hour ago. perhaps the same one I saw on the beltline several weeks ago.

Also, I saw a deep purple Honda NSX in Smithfield this past Sunday. It was in front of me in line at CookOut It had a body kit that I'm on the fence as to whether it was tasteful or tacky, I can't decide. And gold rims; the sporty kind, not the flashy kind.

saw either a Gallardo or Murcielago in New Bern the other day. I'm not a Lambo scholar, and it was kind of far away and moving.

saw some sort of Lotus Seven clone in downtown New Bern a couple of weeks ago.

^^I've started seeing a lot of those around. Please keep it out of here though, not sure how that fits the definition of an exotic car since its neither exotic or a car

I was behind an original gt40 today on the drive home. At first I thought it was a new gt, then as I got closer I thought "oh it's just a superformancd kit". But sitting behind it at the metered ramp, it was the real deal

I got several pictures on my phone, will try to upload tomorrow. Damn thing was incredible to see, hear and smell (exhaust smelled like a damn NASCAR/Indy car running race fuel.

^theres an exotics meetup at redmond town center every Saturday morning at 9am. Depending on the week the crowd varies from 40 to about 200 cars. I've seen cars there that I've never even seen pictures of before. It's serious money showing up for morning coffee (much like cars and coffee down in LA)
