The Bridge: It's about people killing themselves by jumping off of the Golden Gate Bridge. It's a very popular place to commit suicide.

Has anyone seen Dark Days? You can watch instantly on Netflix. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Days_(documentary)

It's about homeless in NYC that live in abandoned AMTRAK tunnels. Really interesting.

It is truly a great film.

Even though I disagree with Michael Moore about most things, I enjoyed Roger & Me. And Crumb was excellent--R. Crumb is a great master and he has led a very interesting life, to say the least.

In this one-off documentary, David Malone looks at four brilliant mathematicians - Georg Cantor, Ludwig Boltzmann, Kurt Gödel and Alan Turing - whose genius has profoundly affected us, but which tragically drove them insane and eventually led to them all committing suicide.

VH1 did a documentary about NWA and it was really good. No joke, I wish I know someone that has seen it so we could talk about it.

Yeah, I saw that one a few years ago and even included it on my list on page 2. Had to just double-check if I had posted it or not.

So "Hoop Reality" isn't as good. It follows Patrick Beverley who played at Marshall (Arthur's old school). They lose in the State simi-finals to Derrick Rose's team. The movie doesn't mention William Gates at all and fails to mention that Arthur has 5 children with 5 different women. Patrick Beverley flunks out at Arkansas and doesn't like the new coach that comes during his second year. He goes to play in Europe for 1 year, comes back and gets drafted by LA. Then he is traded to Miami 13 minutes later and goes back to Europe to play because Miami has no cap room for him. That is all you need to know about it and then read this too.

Because the documentary was supposed to be about what happened after Hoop Dreams, or that is what the box claimed. It totallt failed to mention William Gates too.

"The Union - about weed "

seemed more like a stoned rant than a documentary. It's 90 minutes of random black-n-white video clips strewn together with a narrarator bitching about how the people who grow pot are just the fall guys for everyone else in the BC weed industry. They make some good points, but the editing was atrocious and really distracted from the points they were trying to make.

if they had done it more like Cocaine Cowboys and used relevant photos from recent busts and historical events, the movie would have been a lot better. The portion of "The Union" where they went inside the busted grow lab hidding in buried railroad cars was excellent. If they had just done stuff like that for 90 minutes, I would have enjoyed it more.

Dear Zachary: A Letter to a son about his father

VERY intense but an excellent documentary.

A filmmaker decides to memorialize a murdered friend when his friend's ex-girlfriend announces she is expecting his son.

Festival Express.....so awesome I wanted to jump through the tv and join those crazy people

"Festival Express is a rousing record of a little known, but monumental, moment in rock n roll history, starring music legends such as Janis Joplin, The Band, and the Grateful Dead. Set in 1970, Festival Express was a multi-band, multi-day extravaganza that captured the spirit and imagination of a generation and a nation..."

I just watched The Last Supper. It would have been better had they dubbed instead of translating with fast moving captions that were white and infront of partially white backgrounds. It would have been nice to hear from more prisoners too instead of having to try to read the small print about the 16th century, or whatever time period they were talking about.

unless it's comically bad dubbing and you're into that kind of thing.
