Everything he makes is terrible, but his core audience (mostly christian black women) is one that's pretty much neglected by every other entertainment outlet, so he succeeds pretty well.

i can't stand that TBS keeps trying to push Tyler Perry...it is not funny at all.

compared to other black comedies of the past (fresh prince, martin, cosby show, even family matters--all of which i liked), tyler perry is god awful. i guess TBS needed a new black comedy to fill in between the white reruns.

i still have the image of one of tyler perrys characters receiving pizza at the house and he says "pizza at last, pizza at last, praise god almighty, pizza at last"........seriously.
