im sure plenty of women do

since the nerves that innervate the uterus communicate with those of the intestines


so an increase in uterine contractions=increase in peristalsis= increased gut motility

I've always assumed it's because your uterus contracts a lot while you're on your period. In turn, I figured the contracting moved things along in the intestines as well.
