I actually support most of the stuff they demanded as part of their concessions, if it could be divorced from the villainous cast of characters behind it. (the main thing I don't support is increasing their committee representation, which is due to who they are).

I just think that these particular characters are traitorous douchebag morons and are far more likely to do vastly more harm than good, having been given this leverage.

Defaulting will be a lot of fun for retirement plan participants. Democrats should have gotten rid of the debt ceiling when they had control or kicked the can WAY down the road. on a serious note, I have no clue about this particular State Senator's influence, but you can't always take a bill introduced in a State Legislature, or hell even the House, seriously. All kinds of random BS is done by all kinds of state legislators, you'd be surprised
