^Of course he does. Why else would they name him that? Weyland-Yutani is the name of the company that the crew in the original Alien (or maybe Aliens?) works for.

No, no, I understand that part of it. I'm just curious if the producers of Prometheus are going to acknowledge in any way that Peter is related to Charles Bishop (maybe a son or grandson?). Seems to me like it would basically mean that, if they do, then they would acknowledge AVP as being canon in the Aliens universe. (Which I'm not truly crazy about. But still, there's a reference to the Yutani corporation in Requiem...)

I saw that scene too and was wondering about that. Either way this movie looks epic. I love Ridley Scott and I love the original Alien. Hell I love all three, and of course despise the 4th.

Alien=Despite some older effects, it has incredible atmosphere and is a great movie. HR Giger added so much to this movies creepy atmosphere.

Aliens=great effects that still hold up today, great pace, great movie

Alien3=I personally also love this movie and the very dark and solemn feeling.

i will go one bolder step towards the David 8-Space Jockey merging and say that it will be used to explain the acidity of the xenomorph blood. sacrifice 1000 people and someone will notice but if Weyland Yutani stealthily builds 1000 androids as hosts for the xenomorphs over time and their DNA will adapt to take on some of the artificial parts of their hosts. that's assuming androids have batteries which i don't think is too great a leap itself.
