As a dumb person, you are not trolling.

But if any normal person posted that, they would be trolling.

I think hat jbrick hates me because I am taller and much better looking than he is, and he prolly wants in the butt, which I would prolly do.

Not true. My Napoleon complex completely faded out about 2 years ago. And we both know that I'm better looking.

I think Rooney did a great job...but the original Lisbeth was awesome. She was just less attractive.

The rumors were that RS had filmed two versions of the movie, one R and one PG-13, for submission to the MPAA; FOX preferred the PG-13 version and they went forward with that one but were handed back an R designation. RS got pissed at the MPAA and was not willing to compromise further; it is speculated that we are going to see the tamer version that received an R with the possibility of a still more graphic cut out there somewhere that may or may not be released on DVD/Blu-Ray.

On another note Guillermo Del Toro has stopped production on his film adaptation of the H.P. Lovecraft's 'At the Mountains of Madness', because Prometheus will be too similar to the book.

I'd rather they didn't make it if it's going to have Tom Cruise in it. It's bad enough that World War Z is going to have Brad Pitt.

Pretty sure this has been their MO for a while now. I'm not trolling just tired of this strategy. This is one of the few movies I'll actually opt to see at the theater and I'd like to get the full nine on the big screen.

^^^Source up your thing about Guillermo Del Toro. That seems like an absolutely ridiculous claim considering the movie got canceled a long time ago I thought.

Thanks. That's kind of disappointing... I'm not sure I agree about them being too similar, and I think Toro could do the film justice even if it has a "similar premise" to a futuristic space sci-fi film.

Agreed, but I understand why he would be worried that average Joe Moviegoer would write off his movie as the Prometheus knock-off. Hopefully he can get another decade of movies under his belt and revisit it properly with an R rating.

Del Toro described the reveals as "exactly the same." That makes me understand Tom Cruise's desire to be in it a lot better. Also makes me think that maybe the similarities he was concerned about weren't general to the original work but specific to his particular screen-play - and that reworking the screenplay without those similarities wouldn't nescessarily be less faithful to the themes of the original but might cause it to lose Tom Cruise's interest.

saw something semi interesting in a tv spot last night. not sure who would consider it spoiler material and who wouldn't, so i'm just gonna spoiler it anyway

SPOILER?

they show the moon where the scientists travel on some kind of map, and it doesn't have the same name as the planet from alien/aliens. obviously a moon is different from a planet, but in case anyone was still wondering whether the derelict ship from alien is the same one from this movie, i guess it's not

/SPOILER

This is the first movie in a loooong time that I actually can't wait to see. I read At the Mountains of Madness and I can see where there might be parallels, without actually knowing the full story on Prometheus.

As far as ^ that goes I hadn't considered that before but it's interesting. I wouldn't consider it a spoiler but I can see the why the warning is there and I can see it being an interesting plot point.

^^This doesn't necessarily follow. The ship takes off. Mayhaps it ends up where we find it in Alien.

I wish I could come into this movie not having seen every single trailer.

I feel spoiled.

Some movies are so good you get drawn in and forget all the details of the trailers and still get surprised.
