Lot of failed trolling attempts. And RW is the easiest topic for trolling. Shameful!

he may be, but that doesn't mean he's wrong on this

it'd be more telling if Russell didn't have an Instagram account

but the whole notion of "this guy is great because of these pictures" and "this guy is a no good rotten thug because of these pictures" is ridiculous

one guy just happens to be more polished/brand conscious than the other

Lol....I'm actually a 9er fan (I live in SF). That was sent to me by a Seattle fan. Its obviously slanted and primed to get a certain response. Its still funny, though.

Besides, Kaepernick is a hard person to like. I'm not about to defend his personality. Its not all that surprising that a guy who kisses his own biceps would also show off his shoe collection. Still pulling for him, though.

my response wasn't to that notion. i don't know a lot about kaepernick, but from what little i do know, he hasn't come across as a thug. i was just responding to "why do people care if an athlete is an asshole?". I wasn't saying colin is an asshole or a thug.

If it comes down to a tie between RW and Kaep for NFL MVP , that picture should decide it yeah?

Exactly.

Pictures of a 20-something year old enjoying his celebrity status just don't really conjure up any angry emotions for me.

^I thought that was kinda the entire point of the post?

Well maybe not so much Kap being a thug...but isn't it intended to be "look how great of a person Russell Wilson is" vs "Kap is all about his money/shoes/whatever"?

Aaron Hernandez is a thug. Cristiano Ronaldo is a douche. Kaepernick has way more in common with one more than the other.

Being a thug leads to stolen cars and homicides. Being a douche only leads to Jaeger bombs and powdered protein shakes.

And wearing New Era hats with the sticker still on the unfolded bill.

I never understood that trend. Its like people wanted the ability to return the hat, and then just said, "fuck it, leave it all on there."

nobody here was saying anything about him being a thug, but I guarantee that's being posted on sites like Pack Pride and whatever Seahawks boards there are

and it's kind of implied by posting the pictures of Kaepernick looking "urban". it's awful, but I'm guessing that's what whoever made it was going for

I think you were quick to make that jump.

The only thing "urban" about any of those photos was him hanging out with other black people.

Standing in front of Jet or in front of a mcmansion (which by definition only exist in suburbs) doesn't imply "urbanism"

Unless you are a 49ers fan, how could any NC State fan root against Russell Wilson? Don't give me that lame crap "he quit on the team". No he decided that he wanted to play his senior year and transferred to Wisconsin. Quitting on the team would be what LT did to the Chargers in the playoffs or Derrick Rose last year refusing to come back.

Mike and Mike slobbing all over Kapernick's dick today saying he's the better QB out of the two. Kapernick had some explosive plays, but also made a couple costly errors. Horrible INT on the ball Chancellor picked and then tried to beat Sherman and got burned for it. RW outside of the sack/fumble did his thing and led his team to victory. Fuck off Mike and Mike. It's the old tortoise and hare and these faggots are excited about the hare.

Kaepernick is not a good quarterback. He is successful because he can run the ball. Pretty much every single game where you can look back and say, "Man, he was a gamechanger" was because of his legs, not his arm.

Also, want to know how broke-dick the new "QBR" system is? Russell finished last nights game with a 38.9 QBR. Kaepernick finished with a 65.1. I'll now post their stat lines and you tell me who was the better "Quarterback":

14/24 for 153 Yds...1 TD and 2 INT....65.1 QBR, 56.4 Rating
16/25 for 215 Yds...1 TD and 0 INT (1 Fumble Lost).....38.9 QBR, 104.6 Rating

Russell did exactly what Seattle needed him to do last night. He put up 23 points and let the defense do the rest. Against Denver, a softer defense, those red zone opportunities are going to have to be Touchdowns instead of Field Goals. Should be a good Super Bowl.

That TD pass to Kearse was money. If they let him, he could put up some gaudy passing stats, but he'd probably make a mistake or two as well. He also needs to be careful with the scrambling. It might work against a less athletic defense, but San Fran made him pay a couple times last night. You aren't playing the '10 ('09?) UNC defense...running around 20 yards behind the line of scrimmage isn't a good idea.

That was an awesome game, btw.

Considering the awful protection and complete lack of playmaking receivers Wilson has had to work with this year, his play this season has been nothing short of incredible.

He's well on his way to becoming a top-5 QB if he's not there already.

I have people rolling their eyes at me about kaepernick not being a good QB? He threw for less than 200 yds in 12 of 19 games this season. He completed 58% of his passes. The dudes stats are comparable to Mike Glennon's and Glennon didn't start the first three games of the season. Please, point me to a stat that shows he is a good QB.

Then again, I forget there are those on here who think Cam Newton is all-world, so I won't argue any further.

lol. So one throw and one game means he is a good quarterback? Holy Shit...Mind=Blown.

That Robert Griffin is a great QB. Did you guys see that game Brian Hoyer had against Cincinatti? What a stud. Hell, Josh McCown had the best 3 game stretch of any QB in the league pretty much this season and hes STILL not a good quarterback.

yep, that's exactly the point I was making. so glad you picked up on it.

and it's not my fault that you don't understand QBR ratings

pretty sure nobody has said he's the greatest quarterback in the league, because he's not. but he's for damn sure a good quarterback.

Colin kaepernick has the benefit of being on a really good team. He can't come in and turn a team into a winner like a true top-5 QB could.

The guy is just in a great situation right now.

Absolutely - and I usually do. That said, I do think RW is significantly better. But he is where he is because of a great team, not because he's been playing like a great QB.
